We're looking for someone who has experience working with and motivating kids. If you can try to make math and reading fun for the kids it would be awesome! I have two daughters, one finishing up 2cd grade and one finishing up 3rd grade. I work with them from time to time and find it to help them a lot but I work in consulting and struggle to keep a consistent schedule with them. They are easy to get along with and having a tutor who they look up to and is not family would help keep their attention. Math -- The older girl struggles with math at school but when I take the time to work with her at home she is able to understand things. I think she struggles to focus during class instruction. She needs particular help with figuring out if she should add or subtract when reading word problems. I would also love for her to gain a strong conceptual understanding of multiplication/division/fractions and how they relate to each other. Familiarity with multiplication/division facts as well as speed with her addition/subtraction facts. She tests below grade level in math and so confidence is a concern of mine. Exposing her to higher level concepts could be good for her. The younger girl tests at or above grade level. Her main problem is that she rushes through and tries to skip to the answer. I would love for her to get exposed to 3rd grade concepts and get super fast with her addition/subtraction facts and get started on multiplication to set her up for success next year. Reading -- They both struggle with reading in that they do not have the attention span for it. Their time with reading could be split into reading short passages and answering questions about it and working their way through a chapter book. Ideally tutoring would be at our home with the girls taking turns. Maybe 1hr each with math one day and reading another day.

I have two children in the 7th grade (upcoming) that have been homeschooled up to this point. I'm not impressed with the local public school, so I need someone to teach them.

Help with some numbers and geometry

I have a hard time focusing so a good retention will suffice. I have a hairpulling disorder so a refocus or to stop for a verbal comment is excellent.

Powder Springs family needs a part-time tutor for 4th grade History, Study Skills, Test Prep, English, Math, Science. in person only willing to come to us.

I am looking for a personal tutor (in-person) for a college student who needs help staying on track/keeping up with assignments, deadlines, studying, writing essays/prompts and submitting assignments online for his college courses. Tutor must be willing to meet in person, roughly 2-3 times a week for about 1-2 hours in the afternoon. He is currently enrolled in summer classes, English Composition 1 and Comp. 2 (each are 5 week courses). Comp 1 has already begun and ends June 12th. Comp 2 begins June 23rd and ends July 25th. Family needs a part-time tutor for Special Education, History, Study Skills, English, Math, Science. Our 6-year-old son who has autism, and speech delay needs help with math (adding and subtracting) and writing. He is an exceptional reader. We want to homeschool him possibly next school year and would like educational tips on how to help him learn from home.

We are looking for a summer tutor for our son (8), who will be going into 3rd grade the 2025-2026 school year. We are looking for some extra help on phonics, spelling, writing, and math. the school utilizes the UFLI method of learning so we would prefer something similar to these practices to keep consistency. Workable hours: We are looking for someone 1-2 times a week based on need throughout the summer. The days of the week may vary but I am willing to put together a summer calendar with the tutor so it is a set schedule.
