Besides raising special needs children I have owned and operated care homes where I have blessed and been blessed in many aspects.

I have worked with children from ages 0-12 since 2013. The last four years I have specialized in taking care of children and adults with developmental and physical disabilities. My most previous job I was a behavioral technician for children with autism. My skills range from strong communication tendencies to my compassion and patience for each child I work with. I am CPR/First Aid and OIS trained. I feel I will be a perfect fit for your family due to my endless efforts to help make your life simpler!

My schedule is flexible for a permanent, part time, one time or occasional date night. I am patient, responsible, energetic and bilingual. I have known from a very young age I wanted to work with kids for a living. I have experience with kids of all ages from babies to teenagers and special needs as well. I no longer have any animals but I'm extremely comfortable with pets. I like to keep kids on a schedule I find it helps them feel safe, happy and active. The difficulty of the activities will depend on the kids age. I actually like to play and interact with the child or children I care for I don't just watch them. My first language was Spanish so if your child speaks Spanish or you would like then to learn Spanish I could help with that. I don't smoke or drink and right now my schedule is wide open since I had taken a brief break .

I have worked with children on the spectrum in ABA therapy, worked at a school in the special needs room, done private care for kids/adults as well as worked in a caregiving home for elders. I am very comfortable in new settings and although I do have a lot of experience, I am continuously learning new things. I like to ask questions to have a clear concise understanding of what needs to be done, and enjoy creating relationships with clients leaving them feeling safe, and happy. I am a mom myself and look forward to creating new memories/adventures for those I am around and strive to give others the best quality care of life they can have. It is not a disability or illness to me, it is simply what makes them stand out and different from other people. They are unique and so special.

Hi! Just to give a brief background of who I am: I'm Zoe! I grew up on a farm, out in a small town taking care of the farm, horses and cattle while my dad worked. I have a giant family with a handful of younger cousins and I grew up absolutely loving baby-sitting, engaging and hanging out with them as often as I could! Since I was a Senior in high school, I've known I wanted to work with kids. I was a teacher's assistant for my elementary school my Junior and Senior year. For my Senior project, I coached a 2nd-5th grade girls basketball team to answer the question (What makes a team driven versus passive?). I learned during the project the Lakers (in 2010) were so successful because, according to some studies was due to the amount of hugging they did! After high school I attended a Community College where I played basketball for two years & took courses in Elementary Education. After my sophomore season at the Community College, I moved to Salem where I registered for Chemeketa Community College where I have continued my AAOT and Education classes, including the addition of some Early Learning classes, in hopes to transfer to WOU's Early Education program. Right now I currently manage a group home full time (I was a Direct Support Professional for 2. 5 years before being promoted to manager) and am a PSW part time on Tuesday & Wednesday evenings for a young individual that used to live in the group home I currently am managing. I am looking to help care for children, children with disabilities, and adults with disabilities. I love managing the group home and I love the clients that I take care of; however I would LOVE to have the opportunity to finish school and get in to a classroom. I have a lot of experience and a big heart. I love care-giving and have been through many different crisis's and have encountered multiple stressful incidents where I was and am able to make decisions during those times. Hello! My name is Madelyn, I am a 19-year-old female who enjoys spending time with children and have had lots of experience doing so! My experience includes multiple years of volunteering in the church as well as training with special needs children through Camp Attitude. Some of my special traits include being fluent in American Sign Language, I am a seamstress and love sewing blankets, costumes and masks. Another hobby of mine is pageantry, especially through the Miss America Program. Oh and last but not least, I am a huge Disney fan.
