Transporting Clients to and from the center Taking Clients into the community Engaging clients as they participate in Service and activities Assisting with dreams by working on related goals Supporting the individual as they learn essential service and life skills Helping the individual understand appropriate social etiquette Encouraging the individual to gain more independence in their life Helping Individuals with personal needs like meals, hygiene, and toileting Documenting client progress A typical day for a day program staff begins around 8-8:30 in the morning, when you pick up clients to take them to the center, Once you arrive at the center we have a morning meeting at 9:20 with everyone to go over announcements for that day, then the clients go to their designated group for the week, either community group that goes out and does community outings or service group that has our ceramics shop and service projects they do throughout the week to grow skills and give back to the community. At noon staff help clients with lunch, and by 1 o'clock the clients and staff do a fun afternoon activity that's different every day, and then get ready for take home at 2:30 p.m. and dropping clients off at 3 p.m. Throughout the day you help individuals with their toiling needs. Here at Live Empowered we have clients with all types of needs, We tend to gravitate towards medically fragile clients. This means we have clients in wheelchairs, with g-tubs, seizures, diabetes, etc. We do not take clients who have severe behaviors. Because of this we are able to foster a loving, fun, safe environment for everyone.
