Spend your summer working and living in the gateway towns of Rocky Mountain National Park! YMCA of the Rockies is a full-fledged camp and conference center located outside Rocky Mountain National Park in the mountain towns of Estes Park, Colorado and Granby, Colorado. Estes Park is located an hour from Boulder and Fort Collins, Colorado, the college towns of University of Colorado, Boulder and Colorado State University, Estes Park Center is a beautiful 810 acre mountain resort that offers family reunions, conferences, weddings, day camp, and incredible work opportunities for staff from all around the world. Snow Mountain Ranch is located 20 minutes from the western entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park, home to Grand Lake, Lake Granby, and Shadow Mountain Lake, and 15 minutes from Winter Park Resort. Winter Park Resort has an incredible summer adventure park that YMCA staff have free passes to use at the alpine slide, which is the longest alpine slide in Colorado. Snow Mountain Ranch also have free access to Hot Sulphur Hot Springs, which is located about 20 minutes from our property, as well. Snow Mountain Ranch is an incredible 5,100 acre mountain resort that offers endless hiking and biking trails, as well as a reservoir that overlooks the continental divide. Staff are welcome to canoe, relax, and fish at the reservoir. We are hiring for seasonal employees to join our Food Service and Housekeeping departments this summer. These positions have the opportunity to opt in to our Rocky Mountain Living Package which includes, Housing Meals Laundry facilities YMCA of the Rockies membership Free or discounted gear rentals for outdoor adventures Access to our Staff Activities team that offers individual support to you Rocky Mountain National Park as your backyard Discounted nights at YMCA of the Rockies lodges for family and friends Free shuttle to and from YMCA of the Rockies to downtown Estes Park throughout the summer that runs every 30 minutes and a free public transit system called The Lift in Grand County, Colorado. Food Service Staff assist our guests with a positive dining experience which includes maintaining a positive and professional attitude towards guests and staff, maintaining sanitary work and dining areas, operating commercial food service equipment training provided, assisting with meal preparation, training provided, and keeping service lines clean and fully stocked with food and supplies. Housekeeping Staff are responsible for having assigned cabins and lodge rooms cleaned by check-in time. They help clean cabins, lodge rooms, lobbies, and public areas, as well as sorting, folding, and stacking laundry. Training is provided. Opportunity for laundry specific only shifts are available. Work agreements YMCA of the Rockies offers work agreements up to 8 months! Apply with your available dates. Preferred start date is May or June 2024 through summer, fall, or winter 2024.
