Nanny Responsibilities: Full-Day Care (until September 2024): Provide engaging and nurturing full-day care for the 22-month-old son until he begins half-day preschool. Ensure his needs are met in a loving and attentive manner Developmentally Appropriate Activities: Plan and implement enriching activities that promote the toddler's cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development. These may include arts and crafts, sensory play, story-time, and outdoor exploration. Outdoor Play and Socialization: Organize safe and supervised outdoor playtime in the yard or on walks around the neighborhood. Arrange play-dates, visits to the library, and other social outings to help the toddler build relationships and learn about the world. Safety and Hygiene: Maintain a safe and clean environment at all times. Be attentive to potential hazards (choking, falls, water risks) and ensure the toddler is supervised appropriately. Teach and reinforce good hand hygiene and other hygiene practices. Assistance with Household Tasks: On days when the toddler is with grandparents or other family members, assist with household chores and errands as needed. This may include putting away groceries, tidying up, and running small errands. Laundry: Manage the family's laundry, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and putting away clothes and linens. Downtime Tasks: During the toddler's nap times (approximately 2-3 hours per day), the nanny will maintain the play areas and handle the family's laundry. This involves picking up toys, sanitizing equipment, and managing all laundry tasks, including sorting, washing, drying, and putting away. Newborn Care (after October 2024): Upon the newborn's arrival, assist with his care, including feeding, diaper changes, and creating a safe and nurturing environment. Help establish a routine and build a a strong bond between the newborn and the family.
