SUMMER CAMP - Part Time

About Camp: Our Summer Program runs for 8 weeks every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from July 2nd (closed the 4th). We have AC inside, but spend A LOT of time outside on our playground. We get muddy, wet, messy, sweaty, and have a great time doing it. When it's hot, it's HOT and we're still outside making the most of the summer! We are a small preschool where everyone knows everyone and we all collaborate together. While inside the classroom or outside on the playground, our staff PLAY with the children. There are moments of observation, but the expectation is that all staff are finding worms, painting, laughing, and dancing along side the children. We ALL teach, read, take out garbage, mop floors, sort toys, change diapers, wipe butts, sing, and drink a ton of coffee to do it all with a smile. Anyone employed by APL must be CPR / First Aide Certified. If you do not already have this certification, you are required to have this completed prior to your start date. We will reimburse employees for this after completing your first two weeks of employment. All employees are required to have a criminal background check, get fingerprinted, and complete training hours within the classroom and attend orientation. All employees must have a record of a Mantoux test or have one completed by your primary care doctor prior to employment. All employees are required to have a letter from a primary care physician stating you are "in good health to work". Please keep these requirements are mandated by the Office of Licensing and are non-negotiable. Start Date: July 2nd (should have some availability in June to train) Days: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays Time: 8:15 - 4:15 (24 hours per week) Pay Range: $16 - $19 (Pay is contingent on education and previous experience and can be discussed during your in person interview) This is a 3 day per week, 8 week job. We understand life happens, but we do expect anyone applying for this position to be able to commit to the full 8 weeks this summer. We would love if someone would continue with us in our September school year Monday through Friday 8-4 or 5, but this is not a requirement for this summer position.
