We are looking for a Child Care Teacher to encourage the healthy intellectual and psychological growth of the children in our school. Lincoln Children's Academy is a child development center in Lincoln, Nebraska. We serve children from 6 weeks to 13 years of age. Our 12, 000 sq. ft. facility is located on 9300 Heritage Lakes Dr. Lincoln, NE 68526 right across from the Heart Hospital. Responsibilities Design and follow a full schedule of activities and discover suitable teaching materials. Meet individual physical, emotional, and educational needs of children. Provide basic care and caregiving activities. Evaluate children's performance to make sure they are on the right learning track Remain in constant communication with parents and update them on the progress of their children. Adhere with teaching standards and safety regulations as established by LCA and the our state license. Participate in state related training courses. Skills: Must be 18 years of age to meet licensing requirements. Impeccable references and a proven track record of caring and nurturing children. Excellent knowledge of child development and up-to-date education methods. Patience, flexibility and love for children. Strong communication and time management skills. Certificate in first aid and CPR. Must be flexible, reliable, and organized and maintain a safe classroom. Degree in early childhood education preferred but not required.
