Description: Kick off your summer with this new nanny position in Apex! This fun-loving and laid-back family has two active boys and boasts the perk of a 4 day weekend every week! The nanny would be caring for two boys ages 2 and 10 months. They are looking for a nanny who isn't afraid to get dirty and explore with them! The oldest is a typical toddler boy who loves being outside and helping with every day activities such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry. He is very smart and they anticipate potty training is coming soon! The youngest is busy and always striving to keep up with his big brother. He is crawling at the speed of light and is pulling up, so walking is on the horizon for him. Their ideal nanny would be comfortable being firm with boundaries yet gentle and kind as they begin to navigate tantrums and test boundaries. They hope for a typical day with the boys to include arts and crafts, reading, singing, dancing, lots of outside time, and fun outings to nearby parks, museums, and library storytime. The ideal nanny would be creative and help the boys learn as they grow, but also to teach them manners and respect for others. They try to use every situation as a learning or teaching opportunity and they hope for the nanny to embrace this philosophy with the boys. Outside of providing attentive care for the boys, the family hopes for a nanny who will assist with light household duties revolving around the children. Tasks include picking up after meals and playtime/crafts, preparing lunch and bottles for the boys, and helping them stick to their routine with naps and mealtimes. The family also has two large yet friendly goldendoodles who will need to be let outside in the yard when mom travels for work. Mom works from home primarily but travels for work quite a bit. She understands the role you will play as the nanny and will be mindful to give you the space and respect you need to build a strong bond with the boys! The typical work hours will include 10 am-6 pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. For a great fit, the family is willing to offer additional morning hours (starting at 8 or 9 am) or a few hours on Mondays or Fridays. They plan to offer guaranteed hours (25-30 depending on the nanny's preference) and are hoping for a nanny who is looking to be a part of their family for at least the next 2 years!
