About the job

All teachers must provide a safe, nurturing environment for children that fulfills the standards of care set forth by Crescent City Christian School Daycare ELC & Celebration Christian Daycare ELC, the State Licensing Division of the Louisiana Department of Education and the Louisiana Department of Health. Implement the Frog Street curriculum, taking into consideration the needs of the individual child and encouraging the child's spiritual, social/emotional, cognitive, physical and language development. Maintain positive, professional relationships with parents, children and co-workers at all times. The teacher must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults in order to meet the needs of the children, and follow the guidance of a Lead Teacher. Frequently lift, move, or hold children with a range of weight from 10 to 50 pounds. Change diapers when wet or soiled, at least every two hours. Serve breakfast snacks, snacks and lunch to children, and provide water several times each day. Update daily reports throughout each day for each child, indicating general mood and disposition, diaper changes, eating/sleeping habits, and other pertinent information.
