Position Summary: A lovely family based in Greenwich, Connecticut is looking for a Nanny or Family Assistant to join their team and share in the care of their young daughter. The ideal candidate is highly organized, has experience working with pre-school-aged children, and is a strong partner to the parents. A self-starter who enjoys supporting a busy family and anticipating their needs will do well in this role. The right individual is a team player, competent, hardworking, detail oriented and communicates clearly. You should be kind, active, fun-loving, and adaptable. You will travel with the family several times per year. Childcare Responsibilities: - Build and nurture a connection with the child and provide care, warmth, and security. - Drive the child to school, activities, and appointments. - Prepare fresh and healthy meals and snacks to expand the child's palate. - Plan educational activities or activities to keep them engaged. i.e. museums, parks etc. - Actively engage and communicate with the child, playing, singing etc. - Stay abreast of educational and development milestones. - Engage with other Nannies and parents to encourage and nurture friendships with other children, including playdates and social development. Household Responsibilities: - Work as a team with the principal to ensure the family's day runs smoothly. - Child related housekeeping including laundry, sheets, etc. - Assist with the care of a small, well-trained dog. - Run errands as requested. Qualifications: - Five plus years of experience in a similar role. - First Aid and CPR Certified or willing to be certified and a strong swimmer. - Outstanding references with related experience. - Previous travel experience and adaptability - Must be tech savvy with the ability to use the family calendar and send emails. - Valid driver's license and passport. - Fluency in Spanish a plus. - Long term intent Schedule: This is a full-time, year-round position. Workdays are Thursday - Monday. General hours are 12:30 - 8:30 pm Thursday, Friday, and Monday, and 8:30 - 4:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday with some flexibility required. If Thursday - Monday does not work, the family will consider Wednesday - Sunday. Compensation: Compensation of $40-50/hour with benefits, depending on experience and qualifications.
