Special Needs Care in Ilkeston

| I am a hardworking and enthusiastic professional with excellent communication and organisational skills. I hold a degree in dance and a level 3 in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning. I have undertaken various employments which has assisted my skills and experiences. I have 8 years experience of working with child and adults with mild to severe learning and physical needs. I have been involved with the teaching of pupils aged 4-18 years, in a classroom environment. A main part of my role was to help pupils with learning difficulties on a one-to-one basis to learn and understand their work. Working closely with Key stages 1 and 2 of National Curriculum gaining much knowledge to progress within this career. I have also gained further: • understanding of how children develop and learn • flexibility and creativity • ability to managed groups of children and cope with challenging behaviour. I am trained in Team Teach, use Makaton when needed and have work with EAL pupils. I believe I am friendly, patient, kind, understanding and helpful. I am passionate about the work I do and get a great sense of achievement. I believe the qualities are easily transferable to all aspects of my work life.

| I'm currently a teaching student with matrix TSA and derby university completing my PGCE in primary education with a special needs focus. I have a 2:1 BA hons degree from bishop grosseteste university (specialist teaching university) in special educational needs and theology and ethics. I have valid dbs checks, training in makaton, asd, blank model questioning, paediatric first aid, sensory processing disorder and a wealth of experience with communication disorders. I am currently already a personal assistant to two perfect little boys with ASD and I'm looking for more! I have a younger brother with pathological demand avoidance , so as you can imagine, special needs is my life! I am an extremely caring, kind and loving individual who would care for your child as if they were my own. For 2 years during university i was a childminding assistant, meaning I have a wealth of experience also with neurotypical children. I have my own car (2009 mini) full insurance and MOT til may next year. I am available evenings (After 6) and weekends.

| I have worked I neurology and neurosurgery aswell as spinal during my NHS work. So I have experience in different areas and attending to different needs.
