Experienced child, teen and young adult carer ready to ease the stress put on parents
|
Hi, I'm a 20-year-old biochemistry student at the University of Edinburgh seeking a flexible part-time babysitting job. I have caregiving experience such as taking care of a physically disabled and neurodivergent youth, as well as assisting in a special needs summer school. Additional experiences like once being the female team captain for Ghana's national junior swimming team honed my adaptability, leadership, and empathy.
Growing up as a middle child with a significant age gap with my sister, I frequently babysat, instilling responsibility early. Living independently since the age of 16 further reinforced this trait. Most of my experience ranges from ages 5-16 years olds, and I'm excited about my upcoming lifeguard job at a children's summer camp. While I lack official qualifications, I completed an online first aid course during the pandemic and plan to obtain certification this summer.
Beyond qualifications, I bring joy and cultural diversity to caregiving. With roots in Ghana, Sweden, and South Africa, I blend different perspectives. Family-oriented and known for my nurturing nature, I often assume the big sister role among friends.
Rest assured, your child will be in caring hands!
