I am an adult with an undiagnosed disability. I am struggling to access services and appropriate care & have been through out my life due to being completely estranged from any family for my safety & subsequently perpetually fleeing abuse from the age of 16 and not knowing how to access services or identify my care needs. Any carer needs to be able to deal with distressing topics such as historical & current SV/DV. I need someone that can identify my care needs and oversee/coordinate all of the services necessary for me to have any hope of overcoming what I have physically survived, mentally and to reach a place of safety and hopefully finally settle. In addition I ideally need help to get properly assessed and diagnosed, access specialist therapy for complex cases, access police services, understanding paperwork, attending medical appointments & other more basic things. I do not have any quality of life currently and am merely living to survive. I don’t expect any outcome from this as I’ve tried multiple websites, and even been messed around considerably by one, but I am faced with no options other than to try anything that gives me momentary hope.

This is an important and very rewarding role that involves some of what I do every week to support my disabled son when I’m at home. We live in London NW2.  Our eldest son, 28, has autism, severe learning difficulties and several health issues including epilepsy.   He lives in our family home and is supported, when at home, by an excellent team of highly trained and carefully selected carers whom I support in various ways.  What we are looking for is someone, fairly local, to step in and train up to be me when we are away each week. Our son requires access to two to one when at home (and always when in the community) and the main purpose of this role is to be the second person, providing support to the main carers whenever we are not around. This role would involve some actual support for the main carers on those occasions when he needs extra input (for which training will be given) plus anything that helps keep our sons’s world running smoothly: flat nice and ready for carers, clothes washed, food (already cooked) ready and available, watering our garden and driving if possible (this would not include house cleaning, laundry for other members of the family). This is a role that can develop and grow as time goes on and, for the right person this should be a very rewarding job. Our son is happy and adored and brings us huge joy.  We will pay good money for a job well done and you would work in a lovely setting supporting an excellent team, helping them support a gorgeous, brave, funny and generous young man reach his full potential.  You would need to bring to the role an excellent attention to detail, a keen sense of responsibility and commitment, organisational and analytical skills, energy, kindness and care. We would provide high quality training to the point where you were effectively able to support the team and beyond if you wanted.  We’re looking for 15-20 hours per week on Tues / weds, plus two sleeping nights with some additional weekend support once a month if possible. Support would start on Tuesdays at 3pm and run through to 9.30am on Wednesdays (when our son goes off to college) and then 3pm on Wednesday afternoons through to 9.30am on Thursday mornings. The sleeping nights would run from 9pm to 7am, just in case of an issue that the main carer (who is in with our son) can’t manage alone (this is important but extremely unusual).  Sleeping nights are paid at a flat rate, with the usual hourly rate resuming at 7am.

We are a family with 3 children: G(10), G(8) and B(5, almost 6). With 3 children and 2 different schools, we have 2 nannies supporting us at home and at the moment, we are looking to replace 1 nanny as she is moving away. Our G(10) is a super sweet, intelligent girl prepping for her 11+ while enjoying her sports and friends. Our (G(8) is a sweet, cheeky monkey who is more challenged reaching the usual child development milestones. We are in awe how she has the perseverance to deal with her challenges. She has a condition which affects her muscles so started walking with 2 1/2 years old and because her mouth muscles are effected as well, she struggles speaking. She is able to communicated and we see improvements every "day" though! Our B(5) is a super clever and sporty boy with a huge sense of humour. The kids love each other to bits are are (as confirmed by others) very well behaved. We are looking for a nanny with special needs experience. HOURS: Weekdays Monday to Friday: 3:30pm-7:30pm. If you live-in or close-by: support us 2-5x a week by bringing G(8) to school (paid extra for inconvenience coming in) Additional hours: during school holidays (in consultation with you) Additional hours: babysitting evening (in consultation with you)| Additional hours: weekend (in consultation with you) No drivers' license required Fluent English Punctual and reliable Our previous nannies have been with us for 3+ years or more and become part of the family. Mainly looking for someone who is qualified in looking after autistic children. I have 3 boys. It’s mainly my youngest son that needs looking after. He is cheeky, happy and a very loving affectionate child. He is non verbal, and currently under assessment for autism. I have two older sons also. My middle son is autistic and non verbal also. He is very calm and a very well behaved young man. He will need some assistance in washing and going to the toilet. He is pretty self sufficient otherwise.
