Hello, and thank you for considering me. I have significant experience working with children and adolescents mentoring/tutoring. I am currently employed as a Mathematics teacher at Farmersville High School with 2 years experience teaching Algebra 1 and Algebra 2. I am Texas certified to teach mathematics grades 8-12, but can definitely tutor younger grades also. I got my start working with kids in High School, skipping my lunch once a week to mentor local Elementary School students. The rewarding feeling I received when helping kids hooked me in. Since then, I have been tutoring and mentoring students for the last 12 years. In May 2012, I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Child Learning and Development and another Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Dallas with Latin Honors Magna Cum Laude. While in school, I conducted research for the Blackberry Project examining adolescent cell phone use. I have had great success with the young adolescents I work with. Some children just need a good role model to talk to, while others are struggling with subject matter. A lot of the problem, in my experience, generally stems from either organization or motivation. I do not just want to tutor your child. I want to set them up to be successful in life. My forte is in mathematics, where the last assessment I took, I scored a perfect score on the Math SAT. Also, Science is a strong suit, as I took two years of college-level Physics in high school and several Biology courses throughout college. English is equally a strong subject for me, due to the literary nature of the many psychological reports I have completed. My father has been a high school mathematics teacher and business teacher, and my girlfriend is currently a 3rd grade elementary school teacher. In December of 2018 I received my B. S. in Psychology with Teacher Certification from UTD. I student taught in a 5th grade classroom in Frisco ISD and have been a teacher in Allen ISD for the last 4 years. Hello! My name is Lex and I am a recent UTD communication disorders grad program graduate with bachelor's degrees in speech pathology and child development. I have been watching kids on my own since I was 12 years old. Prior to that, I helped my mom in her home daycare and when she taught at a private preschool. I have worked in a daycare, a nursery, as a nanny, a tutor, and a therapy assistant. I am certified in CPR and First Aid, and I have taken CPS Pride classes to become a certified respite caretaker (for foster kids). I know how important it is to have your pet well cared for. I, myself, currently have 3 senior dogs that I've raised since puppies. I often rescue dogs when I have an opportunity to. I'm not shy when it comes to big dogs and have pet-sitted for fish, cats, and other pets. I follow feeding directions, care instructions and will give the utmost care to your pets.

Hi there! I love love love animals of all kind. As of now I don't have any pets, but growing up my family had cats, ducks, rabbits, and a tortoise. My neighbor has 3 cats and when she is away I take care of them (feed, change litter, give pets.) I love cats and am used to their temperament and antics hehe. My home is pretty quiet and easygoing, so animals tend to feel calm. Though I don't have a dog, I have experience walking/ dogsitting. I feel very comfortable around dogs and enjoy giving them time and attention. I am also very knowledgeable about dogs from my time volunteering at my local animal shelter.
