Experienced And Fun-Loving Nanny
I am an experienced nanny with a deep passion for working with youth. Childcare is a craft that I have cultivated and honed for nearly 15 years now. Not only have I worked with multiple families, I have volunteered with youth as a track and field coach, daycare helper, tutor and high school teacher's assistant. Currently, for my Master's project, I am volunteering as a consultant with an expanding youth male basketball program. I am assisting the organization in developing a new strategic value curve that will focus on cultivating interpersonal skills, social responsibility, and accountability, while teaching the teens how to lay a foundation for legacy building. As, you can see my extensive and diverse experience working with youth runs the gambit, and it is this depth and richness of experience that allows me to retain a fresh, unique and dynamic style to childcare.
I bring high energy, a sense of adventure, creativity and imagination to the table. I am not afraid to dance with imaginary friends, read books in make-shift bedding tents, and watch Disney movies on repeat while remaining authoritative and in-control. I am very much in tuned to my inner child and in my free time I enjoy a good card game, playing board games, bowling, arcades, pools and amusement parks. There are five things your household can most certainly count on receiving by having me as a nanny: Honesty, Loyalty, Transparency, Love and Rigor.
As a childcare provider I believe in approaching my duties with finesse, grace and artistry. I have learned to allow family dynamics to shape my approach, as there is no one-size fits all method to childcare. I believe in treating a family's children as an extension of myself, which means, I extend the utmost civility, respect, and kindness. Additionally, I provide lots of feedback to the parents and I am very open and receptive to listening to and implementing the parents needs and wants.
My job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Strong but not overbearing supervision, planned age-appropriate activities and outings, meal/snack preparation for children or for entire family (when asked), tutoring, activity transportation as needed, light to medium cleaning, and running errands, i. e. grocery shopping, package drop offs and pick-ups, etc. Also, for those families that may run a business from home, I also can extend some administrative support duties.
Lastly, I want to stress that I uphold a quality over quantity attitude toward my time spent in my role, for example when cooking with children old enough to be in the kitchen, I ensure we prepare the meals together. I believe strong interaction and communication is critical to developing a solid relationship based on mutual respect and trust as it helps to build harmony, synergy and balance throughout the entire nuclear unit.
