I do not have any official certifications, but I have been one to take care of some of the older folks in my family. I am great with transportation, I am pet friendly, and I can help with light house work and meal prep. I am always looking to bring a smile to someone's face!

Hello everyone! I am a positive, reliable, and patient full-time college student. I have always been in the caring for children atmosphere since my mom is a daycare owner herself! I started to help her about 4 years ago and I have much experience with children, from infants to young teens. I have a passion to care for kids and to teach them them that kindness makes the world go around! There will never be a dull moment when they are in my care. I have over 14 years working in health care, working with various populations. I worked for eight years with the mentally ill of various ages on both an inpatient and outpatient basis, as a mental health counselor, psychiatric technician and recreation therapist. Additionally I worked for six years with seniors both within a nursing home environment as Director of Recreation Therapy as well as Director of Recreation Therapy for an adult day care center. I am a compassionate, understanding, patient person who cares deeply about those that I care for in an effort to enhance their quality of life as much as possible. I am looking to work more closely with patients on a one-to-one basis at this time doing homecare. Former teacher certified in MA, CT, and SC in Elementary Pre-K to grade 8; Reading specialist, Special Ed, K-8. I have tutored students for a one-time event and many ongoing from grade 1 to grade 8. I have been tutoring for a long time and now that I have retired from the classroom, tutoring helps me keep up with and implement the latest research in learning. I enjoy motivating the reluctant learner , developing their self-esteem and building confidence.

Hi! My name is Kara. I'm originally from Connecticut but have been living here for a little under 3 years now. I currently live in Andersonville and love it. I've been a babysitter since middle school, and a nanny for 3 families. I also have experience working as an aide and paraprofessional to children with special needs; specifically Autism. I majored in art education in college and have a VERY creative artistic side! I love teaching art and doing fun creative projects with kids. I have volunteered in Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic and all over the U. S. teaching art and giving out food/clothes/aid, and am conversational in some Spanish. I love playing, teaching and working with children and have experience with those of all ages from infancy to high school. CPR certified, previously a court mandated reporter when I was a paraprofessional as well. I like to inspire children to use their creativity and have fun, and not always have to rely on tv and video games! I currently do improve and sketch comedy, as well as comedic acting all over the city, and love using my theatrical side to spark and engage in a child's imaginative side and play or entertain! Being an improviser has helped me learn how important it is to think fast, listen, and pay attention, all skills which have definitely helped me in childcare as well! I have experience also being a household manager in charge of chores like laundry and cooking, helping with homework and driving to activities. Hi there! My name is Chelsea and I have been working with children for the past 12 years. I started out my career working in a daycare setting. In this setting I worked with children of all ages as well as supervised staff. After graduating with my Master's in Social Work, I began working for child protective services. I worked in this role for over six years before transitioning into the school setting. I currently work as a social worker for an alternative school that educates children 6th-12th grade. Here I work with children who have special needs as well as behavioral issues. I am very passionate about working with children and have dedicated my schooling and career to this passion. In addition to having a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Social Work, I have training in first aide, medication administration, restorative practices, as well as early childhood psychology. I am currently available to nanny/provide childcare for any age throughout the summer!

I am a retired teacher of 30 years working with preschool to grade 8. I am a private tutor and home school tutor. I am a grandmother who wants to be with children, but my own are all in other states. I especially love to care for newborns to elementary age.
