I Have been babysitting since I was 11, by watching my sisters for an hour or so while my mom ran some errands. I have babysat for many friends, family, and people that have referred me to other people. I was also a camp counselor of two years, so I have experience handling many hyper kids at once.

My background and experience has always been with children (as well as being a mom)! I am presently an on call substitute teacher and a "back to college" 52-year-old who misses daily interaction with children. I am certified in early childhood education, and have been a special education assistant as well as a tutor in and out of the the school system for over 15 years. We are new residents of Buzzards Bay though we are familiar with the area as we have family here and decided this is where we want to retire one day (love fishing and walking the canal). My husband works for EMC in Franklin, so the decision to move was easy when the house we now live in came on the market! Our oldest son is a college grad now living in Boston and our youngest is attending his senior year in college empty nesting is hard for me! Basically, I have too much time on my hands since I am pursuing my masters part-time and avoiding unpacking! I am a caring, nurturing and empathetic woman who knew after my first child that I was meant to be with children and keep them safe, help them develop socially and emotionally. There is no other job in the world than caring for children of all ages. Luckily, I'm an aunt to my toddler and school age nieces and nephews which has been rewarding when I'm asked to care for them. I love children of all ages. Love keeping them safe, playing age appropriate games with them, helping them grow socially and emotionally, nurturing them, again, keeping them safe as that is my responsibility. Having a bond with the children and the parents is very important to me.

I started caring for Seniors when my father was diagnosed with Alzheimer Disease when I was 24 years old. I since have completed my Certified Nursing Degree , as well as Ace Certification for Senior Fitness and Music and Memory training for dementia clients. Music makes everyone feel better! I have also worked with individuals with TBI ( traumatic Brain Injury) and stroke rehabilitation. I have the patience, compassion and ability to assist people in living their best life now. I have worked in home settings, and in independent, assisted and memory care communities. Some of my experience and duties have included assisting clients to Dr appointments, therapy, personal grooming appointments, social activities and traveling to visit loved ones.
