Peace of Mind is a loving, engaging, in-home childcare service exclusively for infants between the ages of 6 weeks to approximately 12 months. We primarily work with families who are returning to work after the birth of their child & are seeking the highest quality care from an experienced and compassionate provider who can put your worries to rest. I am a mother, a wife, a sister and a teacher with a Master's Degree in education and vast experience in working with children from newborns to high schoolers.
I began my career in education in 2004 as a high school biology teacher. I spent the following ten years teaching science to students at the secondary education level. In 2014, my husband & I welcomed our daughter into our lives. It was at this time that I began exploring options to work with students in early childhood education. After caring for my daughter at home for her first year, I began teaching at a Montessori preschool and soon became their lead infant teacher. It was such a distinct pleasure to work with so many wonderful families in this community that I decided to take things a step further by opening my own business & specializing in infant care due to my passion for putting parent's minds and hearts at ease in their baby's first year of life.
This step allows me to offer the level of service I believe all parents and babies deserve.
I am current on First Aid/CPR training and certification and have a current State of Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance Card which means the state and FBI have conducted a background check and have cleared me to work with children.

This review is long overdue, but still very important. After interviewing and visiting a large number of childcare providers, my husband and I selected Maria for our six-month old son, Henry. As anyone who has their first child knows, selecting someone who you think will take care of, and love, your child as much as you is impossible. But Maria came as close as anyone could! She was straight forward with her plans, was an excellent communicator, and there were no surprises. If we had a special request, she was willing to listen, make suggestions and execute. Her home was clean and organized, her schedule was spot-on for our little one, and we loved her as much as she loved Henry. We felt lucky enough to leave our sweet baby in her home and was so sad when he aged out of her day care. Thank you, Miss Maria! We will be forever grateful for easing us into childcare! You set the bar high.

Maria was the biggest blessing we could have asked for after a bad experience at a daycare. She took the absolute best care of our baby and we are honestly so so sad she graduated to big girl daycare! She is so thoughtful, caring, and kind and just goes above and beyond. Maria, we can't thank you enough and if there's ever another baby they will be coming your way! Miss you already!

Maria is the best. We were so lucky to find POM. I was super nervous about leaving my newborn with anyone. Maria helped us feel at ease right away, she shared updates and pictures throughout the day and my daughter was well taken care of. I've moved out of the area and now it's hard to find anyone that compares. We are forever grateful for Maria. Highly recommend.

Ms. Maria has cared for my son since he was 5 months old. Peace of Mind Infant Care truly gives you peace of mind. I was very anxious about going back to work and leaving my baby but Ms. Maria eased my nerves so much. She provided consistent updates and photos through out the day. She was an amazing caretaker for my son and always went above and beyond. We are so sad to have graduated , but are so thankful for our time with her. We felt so lucky to find someone like her to take care of our son. I highly recommend her services!

Finding care for your infant can be an overwhelming process. You want the very best care for your child and in a safe environment to flourish. When I found Maria at POM I met with her to discuss the needs for my son. He was born 10 weeks prematurely and struggled with feeding. I need a patient and experienced caretaker that would not be intimidated by his many needs. Maria fit all of my requirements and then some. She is attentive and provides great feedback for her parents. You receive updates and pictures throughout the day using an app, which eases my anxiety on how my son is doing. The home is clean, structured and welcoming. My son loves going there and he has flourished in so many ways. I will be sad when we graduate POM but I would absolutely refer Maria to any family with an infant.

Maria with Peace of Mind Infant Care started caring for my daughter at 3 months of age. I have an older child as well so I knew what I wanted in an infant child care provider. Peace of Mind is exactly what I was looking for and has met my expectations. Maria truly cares for the infants in her care and is great at communicating every detail to parents. She is warm and easy to talk to regarding parental requests for the care of their child. She is flexible and dependable. We would recommended POM Infant Care to those searching for a great daycare environment for their infant.

My twins are about to turn one and only have a few weeks left with Maria, they have been with her since they were three months old and our experience at Peace of Mind infant care has been nothing but amazing! As a first time mom, having to return to work and leaving my babies was hard, but knowing they were in Maria's care truly gave me a peice of mind. Being able to have updates and pictures available to check throughout the day really helps put your mind at ease! Maria has been so kind and flexible with us, I really don't know what we would have done without her!! She truly is amazing at what she does, and you can tell she loves and cares for these babies as if they were her own!

As first-time parents and having to return to work when our baby turned 8 weeks, leaving our baby with just anyone wasn't an option. Peace of Mind exceeded our expectations. It's our daughters home away from home. Maria is knowledgeable, accommodating and most importantly nurturing. The daily updates, photos & keepsakes are a real plus, too. It takes a special person to have several babies under your care, all day and every day. We are truly blessed to have found Peace of Mind for our baby's first year!

Maria is amazing. Our daughter has been staying with her for four months and we have had a very positive experience. Maria is flexible with parents and it's obvious she genuinely cares about the kiddos. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an in home daycare.

Our daughter is about to turn 1 and has been with Maria since she was 2.5 months old. We couldn't ask for better care! Our daughter is always happy to see Maria. We get updates about our daughter's day which gives me a peace of mind when I'm away from her. I never have to worry about her! Maria is kind and welcoming and flexible. You really cannot ask for a better person to care for your child.

Maria has provided wonderful care for my daughter. As a first time parent, I'm sure I've been overly concerned at times, but Maria has responded to my concerns with understanding, respect, and kindness. She's flexible with my needs, very professional, and shows tons of love for the babies she cares for. My daughter is always happy at drop off and always happy at pick up--which truly gives me peace of mind when I'm at work.

Maria is caring, competent, considerate, collected, creative, and organized. I would recommend Maria only to parents who want the best care for their babies. she is amazing and i'm so thankful we decided to use Maria's Services. she really pays attention to all the details and she works together with you to make sure each baby has their specific needs met. She uses an app that i appreciated very much because i could check in on baby anytime of the day and read updates on baby status and see pictures of baby. She also has a few pleasant surprises for parents at certain moments in the year that i was very grateful for and they made me smile from ear to ear.

I'm a contractor for part-time help, and Maria is wonderful! She's very communicative, understanding of any personal issues, and always willing to help where she can. Her home is very clean and organized, and it gives plenty of space for the children to stretch out and play. She keeps me updated on scheduling changes, and has been flexible with my family needs. I would highly recommend Maria and POM Care for both employment and daycare!

My little one currently attends POM Infant Care and loves his time there. Maria is great about providing feedback and watching for any concerns. I definitely have 'peace of mind' leaving him while I'm at work. I would highly recommend Peace of Mind Infant Care!

Maria is amazing! Our 2nd baby has been in her care full-time since he was ~10 weeks old and he is now 15 months. She has also cared for our 3.5 year old. I wish that we had known Maria after the birth of our 1st baby. We truly have "peace of mind" with Maria because we know that our child/ren are well cared for, loved, and appreciated. We have high standards and Maria has never let us down! She is an excellent communicator, is very reliable, energetic, and is flexible to your needs. She is located in a safe, convenient, and beautiful neighborhood and her home & the nursery are immaculate. We HIGHLY recommend Maria and would be happy to speak with you directly to provide more background and to answer any questions.
