About the business
I am currently full and do not have any available spots. When they become available I will remove this statement.
I provide care for children from the ages of 8 months to 8 years old. My child care home is run like a family. I do have a basic preschool curriculum that is used. My philosophy is to care for and love the children in my care as I would my own. This involves play time, singing and dancing, reading stories, arts and crafts, baking, creative play, and helping out with age appropriate chores to name a few. VERY limited television viewing is allowed and only for educational/nurturing movies and/or programs. This is approximately one hour per week. All transportation is done by foot. I do not transport the children in my vehicle. I live near a library that we visit, weather permitting. I also try to get the kids outside at least once a day. This can include playing in the yard, walking to the nearby park or going for walks around the neighborhood. I feel that children need love and discipline and that they will learn and flourish within these bounds. I also believe that children grow and learn in important ways by allowing them to be children.
