I am opening a Daycare out of my home in Derwood, MD. I am to run my daycare as more of a "nanny share." This provides the socialization of a daycare, but still allows the one-on-one attention.
I want myself and the parents to be partners in their child's growth.
Rather than having strict guidelines and rules, I want the parent's input in how to schedule their child's day and what specifically they would like me to focus on.
Food will be provided, but I will ask for a list of suggestions from each family.
Even though this is a daycare, I want it to feel as personalized as having a nanny.

I come with over 12 years of experience with all ages of children ranging from newborn to teenagers. I have my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. I taught 1st grade for 3 years and then 3rd grade for 2 years. Throughout college and during summers while teaching, I nannied. Some of the families include twin 3 month olds, 16 month, 2 year old, 4 year old.
After teaching I helped homeschool 2 students for one summer (1st and 5th grade).
I then nannied full time for a family with 3 girls (4, 6, and 10).
I made a career switch into Technical Recruiting, but kept tutoring and nannying part time to still be around kids.
Opening a daycare has been my dream for a very long time and I am finally going to make it happen!
