Early Advantage Preschool, Llc

Early Advantage is an in-home preschool that offers a hands-on learning experience for children ages 3 to 5. Early Advantage Preschool, LLC will officially open for business in September 2015. We are excited to begin, with an anticipated start date of Wednesday, September 16. Since this is an in-home preschool, our spots are very limited.

Two classes are currently available: One is run Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. The other is run on Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Early Advantage's curriculum follows the Missouri State Teaching Standards for preschool. The curriculum of the Columbia Public School system has also influenced the way the lessons will be taught and the overall content. This allows for a more seamless transition for students that attend public elementary schools in the area.

Owner and teacher Rebecca Adams has over 10 years of teaching experience. She is nurturing, positive, effective and fun! Her use of music, art, dance, and drama helps students stay interested and focus. Mrs. Adams loves to get the students up and moving. In this classroom, students build things, act out ideas, dance, create, imagine, and investigate. But, most importantly, in Mrs. Adams' class, students believe in themselves and in their ability to learn and to love school.

Safety is a top priority at Early Advantage. It will be a state-inspected facility to ensure all safety requirements have been met. Early Advantage will have the following inspections: fire safety, health and sanitation.

In addition to meeting all inspection requirements, we believe that good supervision of students is a must. Staff is not only present but activitely engaged in working with and monitoring students at all times. This not only promotes good learning practices, it also ensures each student's safety. Lastly, all staff members at Early Advantage have their CPR certification.

Right now, Early Advantage Preschool, LLC is just beginning. Rebecca Adams is the main teacher. Her husband Steve Adams is available as an assistant, as is her mother, Diane Parmentier. Both are CPR certified, college educated, and have experience with children.
