As both a childcare provider, and a mother who has previously worked outside the home myself, I understand firsthand how important it is to have a dependable, qualified childcare provider that loves your child as you do, and treats them as their own! There's nothing better than getting a picture text message during the day to see the fun your child is having, or a daily written summary of your child's moods, eating habits, and activities, and knowing that they are well taken care of in your absence. Good communication between the parent and provider helps make sure all parties are happy, especially your little one. I understand the dynamic of being a working mother and would love to get to know your child to see if my family childcare would be a good fit!
Just as I take my own children to the park, story-time at the library, and playgroup, I would consider your child a member of the family while at our home, and expected to join in on the fun! I respect individual parenting styles, communicate well about routines and preferences, understand the seriousness of food allergies, teach preschool objectives while playing, such as colors, numbers, patterns, and sight words. I also enjoy sharing my musical talents of singing and playing the piano with children. The kids also love to help with the vegetable garden, which gets them excited about eating healthy!
As a college graduate with a Psychology degree, I have taken courses in child development, behavior theories, and parenting styles, etc. Your child will be played with, talked to, well-fed, sung to and loved! He or she will have fun friends to play with all day, and will have a variety of fun experiences with myself and our daycare friends while you work hard for your family each day!
I am both infant and adult CPR certified and First Aid certified through September, 2025. I am also a registered childcare provider with the Arizona Resource and Referral organization. Several recommendations of my childcare skills can be provided at your request.
My home and yard are clean and safe. There are plenty of toys and activities to share. No swimming pool. We try to practice kindness, friendship, helpfulness, and respect in our home! Crossroads are off the 202, at Ellsworth and Guadalupe. I look forward to meeting you and your child!

Emily is so caring and attentive! My 1st meeting with her went so well! She really wanted to get to know my child and asked all the right questions. It is nerve racking having to find a trustworthy child care taker but Emily was so accommodating to me. I called and checked up, she didn't hesitant to answer. I would recommend Emily to all parents I know! I felt at peace knowing my child was safe with Emily!

We LOVE Miss Emmie's! My daughter attended Miss Emmie's day care for the past two years until she was old enough to attend kindergarten. With past sitters, my daughter expressed reluctance, but not when taking her to Miss Emmie. She plans daily activities that provide a learning and enriching environment for those she watches. Additionally, she provided lunches taking that additional responsibility off of my plate. As a parent, it is difficult to leave your children behind to go to work, but I never felt this way when my daughter was in her care. We will miss my daughter attending Miss Emmie's and I would and have recommended her to those who are looking for a safe loving environment for their children.

My son attended Miss Emmie's day care for 2 years. It was a great experience for us. She keeps the group of kids small and helps them play together while sharing and showing kindness. Miss Emmie had the kids doing many activities to prepare them for school, including cutting and pasting, practicing sight words and learning fun songs that she plays for them on the piano. She takes them to the neighborhood park when the weather allows. My son had fun playing and was ready to read because of the support he received from Emily.

Mrs. Emily was so wonderful to work with. My preschool daughter stayed with her for 2 years, and my daughter loved it! Mrs Emily always had stimulating activities for the children which included learning, activity pages, educational games, singing, creative play, and outdoor play (as weather permitted). She provided a wholesome and safe environment for my daughter to make friends and develop social skills. Mrs. Emily was always reliable, easy to communicate with, and quick to respond back. The cost of the preschool was very affordable, especially for what you got. We love Mrs. Emily. She was such a blessing for my daughter and our family.

We started taking our son to Miss Emily when he was 3 months old until just before he started Kindergarten. As our son got older Emily began teaching him and the other kids basic preschool items like shapes, letters, number etc. They would do crafts and coloring every week. Emily also plays the piano for the kids and teaches them fun songs to sing. Emily is great! We were sad to leave.

Emily first started watching my son on a "drop in" basis when he was only about 4 or 5 months old. This past year, he has gone to Miss Emmy's consistently 2 days a week while I teach part-time and finish grad school. Emily is one of the best day care providers. She is so patient with the kids and I know my son loves going and playing with the "big kids". She's been great at working with my schedule and giving my son the best care when he is with her. I love that he has the opportunity to interact with different kids, have music time, story time, and everything else. Rather than feeling like I'm dropping my son off at a large day-care center where he will be treated impersonally, I feel like he's spending time at a friend's who I truly trust and I know enjoys my kid. I've honestly told my husband that we can never move because we won't find another Miss Emmy.

Our 5 year old, Logan has loved going to Miss Emmy's house and spending time with her and the other kids. His excitement going each day helped me feel comfortable that he was happy and well taken care of during the day. I love that they would sing and learn along with their playing and having fun. Logan will be starting kindergarten this year and will sure miss the friends he's made at Miss Emmy's house.

Emily has been watching my son in her home for the last 9 months, from October 2014 to July 2015, since he was 6 months old. She is very loving, kind, and compassionate. She treats all the children she watches like her own. She has been very flexible with my husband's schedule changes and is very willing to work with us on any questions or special circumstances.
My son loves to go there every day and wants to stay and play when I pick him up. I love that she feeds the kids nutritious meals and limits screen time while encouraging free play and interaction. She is everything we could ever ask for in a child care professional and honestly, I think she has spoiled us for anyone else! I highly recommend her.

Emily Beardall was our childcare provider for our son from September 2014 until May 2016, the year he started Kindergarten. We had had our son with 3 different childcare providers before finally finding Emily. It wasn't long after he was under Emily's care that we noticed a considerable difference in his moods happiness, and we believe it was directly correlated to the attention and love that he received at her home during the day. She played games with the kids, had lesson plans for them to learn, they sang song, went to the parks, gardening, and for walks. She would even take them on fieldtrips to the zoo and libraries on occasion.
I enjoyed the few minutes of catch up with Emily during drop offs/pickups to learn what he'd been up to during the day. Even Emily's husband, Jeremy, was loved by the children. When he would come home early and play with them it would be the highlight of our son's day. You can tell that they have a strong, stable, healthy family and that allows for a calm and productive childcare environment.
To this day, our son will still ask if he can spend the day at Miss Emily's house on his days off of school. From time to time, she texts just to see how our son is doing and if he could come by for a playdate.
I highly recommend Emily to anyone looking for a loving, warm childcare provider. She gives you the peace of mind to know your child is safe and well cared for while you're away at work.

Emily cared for my daughter (now 3.5) for a year and for my son once he turned 3 months until we had to move out of town. As a mom it is so hard to trust your children into someone else's care and I went through many interviews before I came across Emily (boy am I glad I did). She is by far the best sitter I have found and I would recommend her to anyone I know looking for someone to care for their children. She doesn't just provide amazing care she genuinely loves the children and treats them like her own. She is dependable, reliable, and an all around wonderful woman. She is always doing learning activities with the kids and Lexi would come home with new songs and knowledge every time she was over there. The only reason I went back to work after 3 months was because Emily would care for my son, I felt completely comfortable leaving him in her care and even the first day I didn't worry about him at all! The hardest thing about moving out of town is losing her as a sitter. My daughter loves her and so do I and you would be lucky to have her as your childcare provider!

Thank you for the kind words Megan! It's amazing how attached I've become to Lexi over the last year and baby Oliver since I've started watching him. I love to see the growth she's had over the last year, becoming more confident and excited about learning and excited about life.
