Job Type: Part-time Pay: $15. 00 - $22. 00 per hour Paid Training! Snapology of McKinney is a small business in McKinney, TX that teaches kids S. T. E. A. M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) principles in a FUN, creative atmosphere. We are looking for smart, creative, and dynamic instructors from all backgrounds to teach our classes, camps, workshops and/or birthday parties where students are introduced to a range of concepts in a team environment while being given the tools to unlock their creativity and problem-solving skills. Duties: Completes all training and safety compliance programs as required by the Area Manager. Reviews and understands the provided curriculum and concepts thoroughly to be able to provide value to participants with diverse abilities and interests. Manages each class session, ensuring the children are safe, engaged, and having fun. Communicates with parents and clients in a knowledgeable, respectful and tactful manner to address questions or concerns. Adheres to all facility safety procedures and procedures for supervision and release of children. Care, safekeeping, and upkeep of assigned teaching kit(s). Responds quickly to communications from management, whether by phone, text, email or mail. Regularly communicates with Area Manager with questions, concerns and updates. Collaborate with other instructors or staff members to coordinate kit(s), activities or events. Education / Experience / Requirements: Teaching/Instruction experience is preferred, or experience working with students in a teaching, tutoring, daycare, or babysitting capacity. Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet the individual needs of students. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students. Flexibility in working with different age groups and learning styles. Must have reliable transportation and a secure location to store teaching kit(s). Lift up to 10 lbs to store and transport materials, bending, stooping and crawling with children during class instruction. Must pass all background checks as a condition of employment. Bilingual a PLUS! Schedule Options: School Year: M-F part-time, flexible, weekend hours for birthdays and workshops Spring Break and School Holiday Breaks! Summer: M-F, half-day and full-day camps, typically between 9 a.m. and 4pm, plus setup/breakdown
