English Tutors in Loughborough

| I believe that every person learns and works differently, so I will tailor my tutoring to your child's specific needs. I have experience teaching fellow students who have told me that I am positive, caring and patient, which are all important skills for a tutor. I am eager to help your child improve their knowledge and understanding of English, Psychology, PE, Geography or History. I have just returned from studying Clinical Psychology at Eastern Illinois University, USA and prior to that I graduated from Iona College, NY, USA with a first in Psychology. I will be attending Loughborough University in September 2020 for the MSc in Sport and Exercise Psychology. At both American universities, I ran Cross Country and Athletics on a full scholarship, whilst studying. Therefore, I know how to plan, organise and balance my time! I can help your child stay on top of their school work and work efficiently so that they can excel. I also have 3 years of experience babysitting for a family in New York, with three children, (one girl and two boys) ages 6-13. When restrictions are eased and the threat of coronavirus is low, I will be available as a babysitter or nanny.

| I work voluntarily in schools for Pets as Therapy (PAT) along with my dog (pictured) teaching children to read. I've worked with a range of younger school-aged children of varying ability. We particularly focus on the the ones who have fallen behind or suffer with confidence problems, especially those with SEN. We've also assisted with homework club, and wellbeing sessions.

| I have had no professional experience in tutoring; however, I have completed more casual tutoring sessions for younger family members/close friends who have struggled with English Language. I am an enthusiastic, understandable mentor, who can provide a comfortable and engaging space for individuals to advance their skills. I would love to start tutoring individuals who struggle with English Language and share my knowledge. I would conduct lessons ONLINE via Skype - allowing students to feel comfortable in the space of their own homes

| I have over 15 years of teaching experience. I teach KS3 and 4 English Language and Literature and am also an examiner. I offer private and group tutoring. I am also a qualified Integrative Counsellor and am working towards UKPC Accreditation.
