Hello, I am looking for a new addition to our little “care family” to support my frail, elderly parents in their own lovely home in BB6. They are a lovely, devoted couple who appreciate the help they receive and are never rude or aggressive in any way. I need someone who is experienced, reliable and trustworthy and will treat my parents as they would hope for theirs to be treated. Your responsibilities, if you are working in the daytime, will include personal care (e.g washing, bathing, dressing), assistance with mobility, some meal preparation, a bit of tidying up and light housework, but above all, kindness and “care” in its fullest sense. Hours are negotiable to fit round Care I already have in place - some help at weekends would be particularly welcome! If you are kind and patient enough I would love some night care so I can go home to sleep, but warn in advance that nights are busy! Mum recently had a stroke and is desperate to become fully continent again (which she is very well on the way to achieving), but in consequence is up and down numerous times at night. (I don’t ask for any other jobs to be done at night except to look after Mum and Dad). If this sounds like something would suit you, please contact me and we’ll see if our ideas match. I will need to see DBS clearance and some evidence of experience and reliability, of course, but kindness and empathy are the qualifications at the top of my list.
