my name is Salma and I am a mother of two children. I have been a provider since 2004 with my own daycare since 2007. I am a responsible, patient, caregiving, understanding person, and so is my lovely assistant.
My hours are devoted to your children from 7am-6pm from Mondays-Fridays. I accept five weeks to school-aged kids and also before and after school from Fairview Elementary.
We do activities such as reading, coloring, painting, playing music, circle time, outdoor and indoor activities and etc. I encourage self-esteem, self-control, cooperation, confidence, curiosity, relatedness, and communication.

This is an exceptional daycare. Salma and Gabby provide a safe, loving and educational environment for my toddler. As a 'covid baby' my little one had no outside contact with other children. It is remarkable how she has opened up and is now singing and dancing with the other children. Everyday I hear stories about the other children. She is genuinely excited to go to 'Salma's House' everyday. Even if there was a cheaper or closer location, I would still choose to leave my little one in Salma's care.

I originally enrolled my 9 month old at a daycare center, but quickly realized that it wasn't a great fit, it was such a structured school-like environment, which is a hard adjustment for a baby. When we started looking for alternatives, we found Salma / Teddy Sweet, and immediately knew this was where we wanted our baby to go. He gets exposure to kids of a wider variety of ages who all look out for each other and help each other grow. He also gets time outside (weather permitting), and a more peaceful napping environment. It's always hard to leave your baby with someone else, but Salma and her assistant Gabby have made this transition as easy as possible, and I have a happy, babbling baby every day when I pick him up. They are wonderful.

My wife and I are truly blessed to be apart of this organization that seeks to guide our children in such an unprecedented era. We must pinpoint Mrs. Salma and Cynthia who have gone above and beyond to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our (bambino)and... from what we have observed, the other toddlers and preschoolers at the Teddy Sweet Home Daycare. Salma and Cynthia have been consistent in promoting an excellent, very clean, happy, learning environment for their Teddy sweet home "squad". Your hard work and dedication will not go unnoticed for what you are doing and will continue to do for our children.

My son has been in Salma's care since he was four months old in January 2021. I can tell he has learned great social skills and is progressing in his development. He smiles from ear to ear when he sees Salma and Cynthia and all of his friends. I love the at home family feel sinice all of the different aged kids do everything together.

Sweet Teddy Home Daycare has been such a positive influence in the development of my son and his eating habits have improved since he's been there. I love that Sweet Teddy Home Daycare doesn't have electronics and has more hands on activities for him to do.

Our little one has been going to Salma's daycare since she was 3 months old, she's now 1 and is thriving. We love the family feel we get from Salma and her 2 assistants- you can tell they really care about your child. Our little one gets excited to see the ladies and other children when we drop her off in the morning and she's in a happy mood when we pick her up.

My little one started going to Salma in August of 2018 at one years of age. She was very accommodating and helped us through the transition process. He has learned so much and has branched out to making friends. He's having so much fun now at daycare that it's hard for me to get him to stop playing to come home! Salma and Cynthia are absolutely amazing and care so much about every single child that enters her home. I 100% recommend!!

Our infant daughter has been with Salma for almost six months, and we've been really happy with her care. We interviewed several formal and home care options and ultimately felt the most at ease with Salma. We love the family feel to the small group and that our daughter gets to interact with other children of different ages and their curriculum, when at a more formal day care she wouldn't get that kind of exposure until she was older. You can tell that Salma and her staff really know and adore your children - it's more than a job for them.

My son has been at Ms. Salma's Sweet Teddy Home Daycare since he was 3 months old. He is now 2 1/2 . Ms. Salma has been really committed to his care. She has helped him through every stage of his development. She understands every child has a different personality and helps them every step of the way. Ms. Salma and her staff are very caring, flexible and understanding. I feel like they really care about my son. Her place is clean and organized. We will stay with Sweet Teddy Home Daycare until my son goes to Kindergartner as her curriculum helps him move forward on the learning curve appropriate for this age.

We started our son in daycare starting at 5.5 months. Salma is wonderful, she was very patient with our son as he had a tough time transitioning to daycare. She was very caring and nurturing throughout this process and ensured that our son was always comfortable. He is now 14 months old and can't wait to go to daycare in the mornings. Salma's daycare is highly recommended!

Great location, staff, and facility. This daycare was an amazing experience for our baby. He started at 6 weeks old, and at 4 months he was developmentally excelling. Salma and her caregivers were an awesome group of individuals with the best attitudes and loving disposition toward all of the children. It's location is also amazing for anyone who is a working parent, as it is located right off of 123 and adjacent to the Fairfax County Parkway on ramps - awesome for commuters. The facility was always clean, children were always happy, and I would recommend this daycare to anyone.

My son has been with Salma for about 10 months now, since he was 4 months old. We feel very comfortable dropping off our son everyday, knowing that he's in a loving and nurturing environment. It's really wonderful to see how happy our son is to see Salma each morning.

We found Miss Salma after suddenly losing our nanny. She was extremely patient and flexible with us as new parents, especially when it came to the adjustment from home-based care. Our twin girls were 9 months when starting (they are now 12) and the growth and development that has occurred as a result of spending the day with Miss Salma and her staff continues to amaze me. They have been comfortable since the first week and are now and excited when they get dropped off in the morning, which, as a parent, is one of the best feelings -knowing that your children are happy and well cared for when you aren't able to do so yourself! One of the biggest reassurances schedule that they follow. I always know my girls are napping consistently and have a routine that I can continue on the weekend days there. I highly recommend anyone looking for childcare, to reach out and meet Miss Salma!

We could not have asked for a more caring, nurturing, safe environment for our two boys (2YO, 8MO). Salma and her team of assistants are attentive, encouraging, and patient. We are truly blessed to have found her and are comfortable every day knowing they are safe and cared for in an environment that is as committed to their development as to their well-being. Our children immediately warmed to Salma and her staff; the 2YO asks for them while at home and is excited to 'go to school'.

My 6 year old daughter absolutely LOVES going to Ms Salma's!! We did before and after school care throughout the school year and also full day during the summer. Salma and her awesome helpers always had fun activities to keep the kids entertained and learning! I was so happy when we found her daycare. Salma is very patient and nurturing, and works wonders with all of her little ones.
The kiddos have ample space to run and play, have home-cooked meals for lunch and snack times and have so many different activities that they do throughout the week. Salma is always there to answer any questions we have and continuously works with us to accommodate our crazy schedules.
She has been a blessing thus far, and I honestly don't know what we would do without her! I would highly recommend her for your little precious ones.

Our daughter has been going to Salmas for about 2 years. Salma and her helpers are so kind and loving. They are patient and fun! My daughter loves going to Salmas. I know she is safe and I never have to worry. Salmas home is always clean and the children are always fed healthy food. Salma is very understanding regarding what you want for your child. I highly recommend Salmas daycare!

We have been with Mrs. Salma for four years since our first child was 10 months and our second child started going there at 14 months. My oldest calls Mrs. Salma "My best teacher ever!" We take our child to Mrs. Salma not because we have to, but because we want to. We trust her and her great team of assistants like family. The greatest feeling is dropping off your child and not worrying about their well being because we know they are taken care of. Your child will love it!

Our 1yr old has been with Ms. Salma for a few months. It was his first time at a daycare and he adjusted very quickly. Ms. Salma and her assistants are very friendly and I feel our baby is in great hands. He is always happy to be dropped off, and at the end of the day. I highly recommend!

My 18 month old has been going to Salma's for 2 months. She is very happy to see Salma each morning and waves good-bye to me as soon as she walks in the door. Salma is loving and kind to all of the children. She provides engaging and age-appropriate activities throughout the day. The children spend time outside everyday playing in her large yard. The indoor facility is cheerful, clean and organized. Since going to Salma's my daughter naps longer and sleeps better at night time. We are very pleased to have found such a nurturing environment for our daughter.
