Miss Susie was AMAZING for our family. Our son started with her at 4 months old. I had the usual nerves of a first time mom going back to work & needing time leave my son for the day, but those vanished after the very first day. We were provided with detailed feeding/nap information and she was happy to send pictures & the text updates throughout the day. Our son would absolutely light up for her when I dropped him off in the morning. If we were still living in the area, I would use Miss Susie again & again!

I can't say enough good things about Ms. Susie and her husband, Mike, who have been taking care of my daughter for the last 3 years (from ages 2-5). It's obvious that she loves her job, and she is so loving and so patient with all of the kids she cares for. Her days are very structured and organized, including age-appropriate crafts and lessons, which keeps the kids engaged and gives them a reliable daily routine and a sense of responsibility, all while having fun. When the kids are pre-K age, Susie also works with them one-on-one with reading skills, which I love. My daughter will be starting kindergarten this fall and is already reading at about a late kindergarten/early first grade level. I'm amazed and so grateful for all the effort Susie has taken to help her kids grow and learn. I'd recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for toddler care!

I am a single mother, work part time, and am a full time college student. I was in desperate need to find child care for my daughter as I could not rely on friends and family forever. Mr and Mrs Lake welcomed Cameron and I with open arms. They made me feel at ease, especially with me being very nervous leaving my daughter with someone other than friends and family. Cameron loves going to daycare every week and loves seeing all her friends. She is always well taken care of and everyone there is very friendly. My daughter started attending the daycare when she was 10 months old. She is now 20 months old.

Mrs Susie currently care for my 3 year old and my 3 month old. We couldn't be happier! My 3 year old is excited to go there in the morning to learn his letters, shapes, colours and numbers! We are glad we found her!

Ms. Susie is wonderful with my one year old daughter. My daughter loves being there. She treats the children like her own. I have never had a provider that loved my children as much as I do. I have found that she is much cheaper than other providers in the area also. So if you are looking for someone that is going to not only give your child the care they deserve, but are going to love them like her own, Ms. Susie is who you want!

Susie (Mai) watched my son from 2 years old until he was 6 (when we moved out of state). I am extremely cautious and picky with who watches my children and from the moment I met her I felt totally at ease and could tell what a wonderful and kind person she is. My son absolutely loved her and looked forward to going to her daycare every week day. She helped potty train him and taught him to read when he was 3!!! She not only cares for their needs, but also really teaches them and puts a love for reading and learning in them. I really am SO incredibly thankful for all she has done for my son and I. After 4 years we really became close and we really miss her and her family since we had to move. I recommend her to everyone I know that lives in her area and know that she takes the best care of the kids she watches. I really don't think there is anyone out there better to care for children than Susie. Thank you for all you have done for Anthony & I! We miss you greatly!!!!

My daughter is 4 years old and has been with Mai since she was 6 weeks old. She is like a second mother and my daughter loves going there. Mai provides a nurturing and loving environment that I prefer over any facility. Over the past couple years, she has even taught my daughter how to write and she is beginning to read.

The most important thing is that the same principles we believe in are shared by Mai - honest, loving, sharing, and caring. Our daughter has been exposed in both households and is growing up to be a wonderful little girl.

Mai has watched my girls since my oldest was 5 months old. She's now almost four and my youngest is 2. They call her Mama Susie and absolutely adore her. She treats my girls like her own and I know she loves them as her own. Mai is compassionate, sweet and the only reason we have moved on is for school. She really helps me when I need drop in care too. Mai and her family will always be a part of our family and we plan on continuing care as we need her for drop ins or overnights. :)

She goes out of her way to take care of my son and makes sure I feel comfortable with the care provided, including flexible hours, texts during the day, and even watching my son overnight when I went into labor early! I could not ask for better care. I just had a little girl and I am so blessed to have a wonderful provider for both of my children.

One of the most important decisions you will make during your life is finding a daycare to take care of your child. I got lucky and found one of the best! I found Ms. Susie through care.com. I knew the minute I walked into her home that it was the perfect place for my baby. My 15 month old daughter has been going to her daycare since September and she thoroughly loves it! I could not believe how easy the transition was for our family. It warms my heart to see my daughter leap out of my arms to Ms. Susie when she arrives. I have nothing but positive things to say. Wow! There is so much to say about my Mrs Susie aka Mai! I've permanently moved to Virginia with my husband who is currently in the military and my one-year old son. I have no family and few friends here and needed a sitter willing to take care of my baby on weekend date nights and school nights. We recently moved to Virginia Beach and Mai has been providing childcare for my two daughters, age 2.5 and 3 months old. She provides a loving and fun environment for my girls and is really accommodating to not only their needs but mine as a very protective mother. She offers flexibility, dependability and loving care for my girls that I would take any day over a regular daycare facility. Mai and her family have quickly become like family to us and my oldest looks forward to going there everyday. I would recommend her for all ages. As a mother of 3 herself, she has a natural, nurturing spirit and it's obvious she loves what she does.

Being a first time mom and with hectic schedule, finding someone I can trust and rely on made me a nervous wreck...of course after finding Mrs. L I know I never have to worry. She loves and treats my daughter (3 months) like one of her own. She is a wonderful caretaker and has made going back to work less painful than I feared just knowing my girl is in her hands. I just can't wait until my daughter gets old enough to realize how great she is!

Mai, or Momma Suzie, currently does overnight care a few nights a week for my 3 year old son when I have to work. And it has not been easy to find a caregiver who can make that commitment. Being a former military wife means not much family close by, and now I'm a single mom getting back on her feet. It's terrifying leaving your kid with a stranger. I have had questionable experiences with other in-home providers where the caregiver is obviously overwhelmed with too many children. After reading the personal reviews here and seeing firsthand that Mai offers a bit of homeschooling with her ABC curriculum (I watched one of her daycare kids reading full sentences at 4 years old!), I feel blessed to have found her. Education is hugely important to me. I look forward to seeing the progress my son makes under her nurturing and enrichment so vital to this stage of development. My son seems to be adjusting well and feels comfortable to cuddle with Mai when he misses his mommy.

Mai (Mrs. Susie) is the greatest! When I spoke with her on the phone, I knew she was the perfect choice. Then meeting her wonderful family sealed the deal for me. I also brought my stepdaughter over to meet and get her final say and she didn't want to leave the house. That was a good sign. I am so sad we are moving away from Mrs. Susie as in the shortest amount of time she became part of our family. All of my cares and worries went right out the window. I felt so comfortable dropping off my stepdaughter in the morning and I would actually get excited to hear about her day. What movie did they see? How was the water park or museum? I know there was never a dull moment with Mrs. Susie and all of the other kids. On days when I was stuck at the office or stuck in traffic, I didn't have to worry because Mrs. Susie had dinner covered. I know we will all miss seeing Mrs. Susie every day.
