By giving attentive care, we recognize each child's uniqueness and interests, so that we are able to expand upontheir knowledge in all areas of development. Intentional play is playing with a purpose. Children are encouraged to learn by exploring topics that interest them. This yields chances for them to practice flexible thinking and come up with insightful solutions to problems. A positive guidance approach is used here, recognizing and accepting children's feelings then encouraging appropriate expression.
