About the business
Mission Statement:
Little Jack's Corner, LLC Family Day Care is a high quality program that is Reggio Emilia inspired with a Half Day Program, Monday thru Thursday. We believe each child is unique, and has the ability to develop to his/her full potential and power to think independently. This means as co-constructors, teachers nurture and support the child's creation of ideas. Our curriculum supports the idea that children develop this ability to utilize all 100 or more expressive and communicative languages. We strive to promote a peaceful family home environment filled with love, diversity, a quality education, the arts, and culture. This is where children should have the opportunity to be surrounded by the beauty of the natural and existing world, whilst individual opinions are respected and valued.

Teachers collaborate on the curriculum, environment (known as the third teacher in Reggio Emilia), the social, cognitive, creative, physical and emotional growth of the children. The school is committed to continuing education through in-staff training, once a week, and professional classes outside of the school week schedule. The opportunities for staff to continue their journey in learning and the collaborative nature of the work, results in very little staff turnover.
Our school has an ongoing dialogue with other Reggio Emilia schools in the California area, and other parts of the world. We share many theories and practices developed by the late Loris Malaguzzi, the theorist and pedagogical director of the Reggio philosophy in Reggio Emilia, Italy.
