First Milestones Academy is a continuation of my journey and passion for childcare and development in early stages.

Provide dedicated activity rooms for children to use their imagination skills and take their first milestones in exploring various learning activities.
Provide a dedicated and safe outside play area to have balance active routines.
Our staff is carefully chosen from individuals that are genuine, dedicated, passionate and shares the same values. Additionally, we choose our caregivers based on higher education and experience in childcare. Our staff is screened through several background checks every year and are trained to implement our Academy's vision of small child to teacher ratio individual attention and care.

My almost 2.5 year old has been at First Milestones Academy for 2 years. My husband and I are so pleased with the care she has received there. She has learned the alphabet, counting, simple sign language, colors, and more. She loves the books and art time as well as all the time they spend playing outside. We receive daily updates on what she does and eats each day.
The staff is wonderful and caring. And the facility itself is safe and clean. I am so happy we found FMA and would recommend them to anyone.

We cannot say enough good things about this school! My children have been attending for about 2 years now. Our daughter three and half has grown exponentially while in their care, and our son two has done the same. The teachers are friendly, patient, funny, and teach the children about manners, being polite, and what it means to be a good friend. They also have Spanish as part of their curriculum. My kids feel right at home when we drop them off and we are treated like family. They have gone above and beyond to accommodate our busy schedules and keeping us posted about our children via text messages, photos and videos.
The facility is very spacious divided for the kids based on their age group. They also offer after hours care, date nights and weekend care. It is hard to put all down in couple of lines in this review. I know the difficulty in finding good, quality, trusting care and I found that with FMA. Our children will be there until they start school, and we are planning to use them for before and after school. I highly recommend new parents to check them out and feel free to reach out if you need additional feedback.

We really enjoy FMA. My daughter is almost 2 and half years. She always goes there with a smile and fights back to come home with us. Teachers at FMA are extremely kind, caring knowledgeable, experienced, and know how to handle each child and respect their individuality . FMA provides daily fresh food three times a day and two snacks which saves us so much time meal prepping. We got daily reports when she was an infant electronically and now get a summary of her day at the end of each day. We also get plenty of pictures and text communications about her day. The school is very clean and spacious with multiple infant rooms and activity rooms based on age groups. I could not ask for a better day care for my daughter. Highly recommend to anyone looking for care.

Ms. KC and Ms. Glenda are wonderful care providers and your child will feel loved and nurtured while you are away from them at work. I had planned on staying home with my daughter, Noelle, however at 9 months old I needed to return to work. This is when we found Ms. KC (owner) and her newly opened facility that is bright, warm, clean and safe, not to mention conveniently located on Edsall Rd about a mile from the exit. It was so hard for me to leave my baby (as I am sure it is for all parents), but Ms. KC took such wonderful care of my girl that it made me feel better about the transition. My daughter is nearly 3 years old and LOVES Ms. KC and MS. Glenda. She talks about both ladies all the time and it feels good to know we made the right decision in placing her in KC' care. We are just now moving Noelle into Montessori, but plan to bring her to Ms. KC's on days her school is closed or out, etc. Ms. KC has a heart of gold and will absolutely LOVE your child and shower them with hugs and snuggles and is so gentle and attentive to their needs.
It's never easy finding good care, but I promise you (as an elementary school teacher and mom) that I would not change anything in terms of Noelle's placement in KC's care at First Milestones Academy.

We were very lucky to have found First Milestones Academy which a friend of ours had recommended. We were looking to switch our daughter from her current school as we were not happy with the care that she was getting.
This school is amazing and has loving and caring staff. They are experienced and knowledgeable with kids of all ages, temperaments and learning styles. Kids are always engaged, learning and having fun in a loving environment. They have gone above and beyond to mold my daughter into a confident, polite, lovely little lady. Their encouragement and praise has helped her blossom tremendously. The facility is bright, neat and always organized. They have different rooms for different activities and naps. They have a nice space fenced for kids to play. During the Summer they have water activities and camp days. They also make fresh food daily. I highly recommend this Academy to kids of all ages.

This school is great! The facility is clean, organized, colorful and tastefully decorated. The back yard is spacious, private and fenced around for the kids playground. They sanitize their toys daily to stop the spread of germs and sicknesses.
What we really love is the family interaction. They have a number you can text to ask how your kid is doing and receive text messages, pictures and videos. You can never miss any milestones while away.
The teachers are devoted to the children and are genuinely care for them.
The quality of her staff is excellent, she is hands on and available, they keep the standard of care high, and have fun activities every day. I love the structure of the classrooms and mix play education my daughter receives. The teachers are so sweet in all aspects from potty training to rubbing backs and giving hugs and snuggles when anyone has a hard time at nap.
My daughter has been enrolled full time since she was 2 years old. She is 3 years now and loves all her time there. She has done so well with the structured learning. Her vocabulary grew exponentially within the first few months she was enrolled. She has learned so much about numbers, letters, animals, manners, sharing, and she can already write her own name. I see her confidence and interest in learning grow all the time. She has made so many wonderful friends and she absolutely loves her teachers.

If you are looking for a wonderful childcare, you will be very happy that you found First Milestones. After searching many schools in the Annandale, Springfield, Fairfax it stood out from the crowd. It is superior in terms of cleanliness, structure, communication as well as the warmth you are greeted with each day. My daughter has been attending First Milestones for about a year now. I can't say enough kind & amazing words about this school. My daughter looks forward to her breakfast, circle time, outdoor play and the activities she does with her teachers. The structure and balance is bringing much welcomed balance at home and I notice all the different things she is learning about every week through songs, talking about new Letters, animals or opposites. Communication is a really big part of this school. I get daily text messages about my daughter's day along with pictures. She is always available a phone call or text away for any concerns, questions, listening or checking in. We love them and looking forward to starting our second child here soon!

The provider always been very warm, friendly and professional to our son and us. They have excellent communication structure in place. We get daily report at the end of the day in addition to pictures and text messages about his day. They always provide us feedback if needed or asked.
The facility is in spacious, bright with multiple rooms, separated from the provider's home and always in immaculate condition, sanitized, and organized; these are the attributes that were certainly instilled in our son and our expectations.
They have an awesome schedule planned every month. My sons gets to enjoy music, dancing, social and motor skills activities, kindness, joy, and making his first friendships. Our son has learned the alphabet, writes his name, reads simple words, counts and adds numbers. In addition, they send home many arts and crafts based on the stories of the week.

We had been searching for childcare since I was 7 months pregnant. We have toured more than a dozen daycare centers and home daycares. Frustrated that we were unable to find the right place for our child I was interviewing nannies until a friend of mine referred us to First Milestones. From the moment I walked into First Milestones Academy, I had a good, warm feeling about this facility and the staff. The Academy is bright, colorful, clean, tastefully decorated and very spacious. They have multiple infant rooms and activity space. I love how the daycare is completely separate from the rest of the home so the area is unshared and 100% dedicated to the kids.
First Milestones Academy provides a loving structured environment for the kids to grow. They teach them to be independent and self-sufficient. I like the fact that she puts emphasis on cleaning up after they are done playing and this is very important habit. The curriculum feels like pre-preschool because the environment is so enriching. The kids always have the opportunity to engage in age appropriate creative art projects, and learning things like counting, letters, shapes and colors. All children regardless of age are spending plenty of time outside every day.
They are organized and keep a journal of all his daily routine with some beautiful pictures. She even goes above and beyond to keep us updated with sending frequent pictures and videos throughout the day. I highly recommend this daycare to any parents looking for care.
