About the business
We are a Reggio Emilia inspired early childhood center that provides care and education for infants-preschool age children. We are a Level 3 Paths to Quality center and follow ratios and regulations set by The Office of Early Childhood and Out of School Learning.
Our teachers spend more than just time with the children in their care; they invest their hearts in the children. We believe we can always work to be better--together. We work with families to provide the best care for each child that we can by building healthy relationships with not only the child, but the parents and often other family members as well. Parents and teachers are encouraged to communicate freely and to help each other understand the child more.
Part of this is offering healthy meals to the children--no canned produce, lean meat (no pork or fish), no breaded or fried food, and limited sugar. We also provide parents with live classroom camera access for their child's classroom. Daily reports are sent to parents at the end of each day, detailing activities, meals, diaper changes, naps, etc.
We believe each child is competent, curious, creative, and made up of 100 languages. This belief is the core of the Reggio Emilia philosophy, and we put it into practice by allowing children to play a major role in their own learning. Teachers provide provocations, not specific instructions, for many of their activities, which gives children the freedom to experiment, explore, and ask questions.
