It is located in the heart of Spring, Texas and cares for children 6 weeks weeks through six years old. Summerfield was founded in 1985 by Joyce Harlow, and now owned by April Lord, one of Joyce's first students.
At Summerfield, children learn through active exploration and involvement in a thematic, literature based curriculum. Summerfield teachers facilitate the learning process by creating a wide variety of environments for the children to explore and experience. Each child enjoys the freedom to advance at his or her own developmental level in an environment conducive to learning. The curriculum is designed to be developmentally appropriate for each age level.

this place is snooty. My 5 year old daughter got kicked out. They said she had too bad behavior. She's no perfect angel. But kicked out at 5 for a little bad behavior? I'd hate to be the kids of those people running that place. I'd be homeless. Remember just because the place is clean, pretty and the people are nice doesn't mean you take your kid there. My kids have had a better experience at a not so perfect place.
