Passionate, enthusiastic and experienced special needs practitioner.

I believe I am a hardworking, motivated and passionate individual. I have been working at a special needs school for profound, severe and complex learning difficulties including learners with an additional diagnosis of autism, sensory and\or physical needs. for the past 5 years.
I was a beauty therapist, I did this for 3 years and thoroughly enjoyed meeting new people and improving my skills each day. I did not find that this was a career I could see myself in for the rest of my life, so I started studying to be a Teaching Assistant, completing both Level 2 and Level 3. I did this as an apprentice, whist working at a school. This allowed me to show that I have the ability to utilise my all time and do many things at once.
This has been the best job I could have been given as it has provided me with all the knowledge and drive to pursue my passion in life, which is to help children/young adults. During my time at this school, I have been given the opportunity to work with lots of different children with a variety of needs. I have also carried out lots of training including hoisting, safeguarding, autism awareness, Sign-Along, Pecs (picture exchange communication system), behaviour management, epilepsy training and gastrostomy training to name a few.
I have recently started an online course at university studying Early Childhood and Special education, this is a 3 year course and should lead me to becoming a Special needs teacher, enabling me to continue inspiring young children and passing on all my knowledge.
