| I am a well-mannered, polite and hardworking gentleman, who is able to work closely with healthcare professionals in any pressurized environment. I have skills in • Understanding of residential, dementia and nursing care • Implementation of treatment and care plans • Maintaining and developing social, self-help, occupational and personal skills. • Risk management • Recording patient observations accurately and report any issues of concern.

| I have always wanted to work with children. I studied Level 3 Childcare at NESCOT college in Epsom where I completed over 100 hours of voluntary work across different settings and age varieties. One was Sparrows Pre-school as a part of my college course two days a week. throughout the course I will be working with children from nursery to year one ages. I worked at Disability Challengers, at the Epsom Play scheme, through working here I have completed specialist training such as; MAPA (management of actual or potential aggression.) Moving People, I have also completed feeding and choking management and keep up to date with my First Aid training, gastrostomy feeding and medication administration. I worked at Busy Bees North Cheam as a Nursery Nurse for one year from ####-####. I was in their baby room where I completed personal care, feeding and observing all milestones and growth in all the children. I decided to specialise in special educational needs. From September 2018 I have worked at Carew Academy, I was a teaching assistant for 1 year then progressed to become a Student Support mentor from September 2019 - present. I attended a weeks course to become a MAPA trainer and deliver training to all staff at Carew Academy.

| I have been trained in lots of different areas such as; Safeguarding (March 2015, 2016 and 2017), Management of actual or potential aggression - MAPA (November 2015, refreshed March 2017), Moving people (December 2015), Specific feeding and choking management (January 2016) and Basic life support (March 2016). Medication administration (November 2016), Gastrostomy feeding (November 2016), First aid (December 2016) Fire Marshall (March 2017) These training events are important and they are furthering my understanding and knowledge of how to meet every child’s individual needs and create the best possible time for them. I stated at Disability Challengers as a play worker in April 2015 and then became deputy play leader in November 2016. I have been asked to help out at other schemes and have always been more than happy to go over and help. I ensure I read each child's information sheet to know what allergies and needs they have to create a safe environment. We toilet the children ourselves, alongside the designated toileting member of staff that day. Hoisting children when needed and ensuring they are comfortable. I also know basic Makaton so I can communicate with the non-verbal children and their parents.

| I have worked in child care for 13 years and I am NVQ level 3 in child care and education, and recently completed first aid training. I have worked in nurseries and afterschool club of all ages from 3 months- 12 year's. I also experienced support work with a few families.

| I have been a support worker in the last year with adults with complex needs eg cerebral palsy, cognitive dysfunction and mental illness. I’m a confident and attentive carer.
