I am an Ofsted registered nanny with paediatric 1st aid training with 1 years experience in the role. I first began working in childcare as an au pair working for a family in London looking after their 2 children aged 3 and 6. I was responsible for getting the children up in the morning, giving them their breakfast and lunch and making sure they were happy and entertained during the day until their mother returned from work in the evening. I finished there in 1985 as the family were moving house to another area. I then joined another family in the Palmers Green area of London and began looking after their 3 children aged 6 months, 3 and 5 carrying out similar duties to those described above. I enjoyed my job as an au-pair but then moved into other sectors until 1996 when I gave up work to become a full time mother to my 2 boys. I went back to work in 2006 working as a Teaching Assistant in both primary and secondary education, mostly with special needs children with conditions such as dyslexia and autism. I have always looked to be working with children as it gives me a great sense of fulfilment helping them to grow and progress as individuals whilst having fun at the same time.

| I have nannied for 3 girls in St Ives for 3 years. When I started they were 3,5 and 9 years old. I got them ready for school in the morning, made their breakfast, packed their bags, did their packed lunch etc and did the school runs. I did their homework with them, made their dinner every night. I would often take them to the park, downtown to feed the ducks, visit their other family members. I also took them to their swimming and gymnastic lessons, attended all their school assemblies and school plays out of choice. I often had the girls over night so would have to get them bathed and into bed. During the school holidays i would take them on days out, to the seaside, zoo, play parks etc and of course we would often enjoy days in baking, painting and playing. Most importantly I ensured the girls, were healthy, happy and safe at all times. None of being a nanny has ever felt like a job to me, I am also willing to do light housework, anything to make your life easier!
