Childcare in Mid Suffolk

| I am a fun loving, warm, reliable person with childcare experience, including Children's homes, Therapeutic schools and within private homes. I also have a Sociology degree, HNC in childhood and youth studies and an IAMA Infant massaging qualification .I am very flexible and am able to drive :)

| For 10 years I have been at a children day care nursery. During that time I have worked as part of a team looking after and supporting staff and students, looking after children, following the early year foundation stage, health and safety, safe guarding children, and the data protection act, making sure that children are being looked after at the highest level of standards at all times and safe whilst in mine and other staff's care, supporting the children in learning and development, widening and extending their knowledge. I also have worked with students allowing them to do their training with us helping them with learning and development for future career paths. I make sure that I maintain equal opportunities, confidentiality, health and safety at all times in a happy and friendly environment. Other jobs that I have covered are cooking, cleaning, answering the phones, dealing with messages or queries, booking in and showing visits around, working face to face with members of the public such as outside agencies and parents with in the day to day running of the nursery. I then had a break from child care and went on to do car in the community and in a care home however missed it so much I needed to get back into child care so I did a year maternity cover at a nursery for preschool ages and no I'm currently a room leader of a baby room looking after 0 to 2 years old full time I have also done babysitting for many families and have done after school nannying for a family reference upon request.

| Hello! My name's Abby and I'm a qualified teacher with a three year old daughter who will be going to nursery in September. Unfortunately, teaching wasn't for me so I decided to work freelance doing what I love - childacare and music! I run a little music business from home, singing on TV and radio adverts, am looking to pick up a few extra hours of childcare. Having 4 younger siblings, a daughter and several nieces and nephews, I enjoy a busy, bustling life and can relate well to children. I received an enhanced DBS and First aid training when I was a teacher, and although both are expired now I’d be more than happy to discuss reapplying for these. I also have my own car and a full, clean driving licence so am happy to drop off/pick up. In an ideal situation I’d love to be able to bring my daughter with me to work in the School holidays as my husband works full time, but it’s not essential. I absolutely love children and have experience of all ages and am also very comfortable with animals, I have two dogs and a cat myself.
