| Hi there! I am a Canadian student living in Ayr until June 2020. I am doing my PDGE program here in Ayr! I am looking to make a little extra money to help support the cost of my studies and continue to gain experience with young ones! I have grown up around children! I am the oldest of four children and have been caring for children since I was 12 years old! I started baby-sitting my cousin at the age of 12, and then started helping my neighbours out with their children shortly after. I have always loved working with children! I am very active and love to be outside, I have 4 years experience working as a tutor for children of various ages and with different learning difficulties. I am also a huge animal lover so I am totally okay with pets! I have a dog and two cats of my own back home (in Canada!).

| Currently I work in a private nursery, having my svq 3 in children and young people. In this job role I am dedicated to creating a stimulating, encouraging, safe atmosphere for each child’s individual needs. My key responsibilities throughout my current job include • Supporting the nursery group ages 0-5 • Managing food and snack preparation and accommodating for allergies and dietary requirements. • Looking after children both individually and in small groups. • Leading group activities and coordinating out door activities. • Taking initiative when occupying children during sudden poor weather or changes to circumstances • Responding quickly to emergency situations, remaining calm whist under pressure. • Encouraging children in being polite and kind to others. • Understanding the developmental needs of children, nurturing their growth and emotional wellbeing.

| I am a suitable candidate for this role as I am very nurturing, friendly, caring and understanding. Childcare is a passion of mine and pursuing a career within this profession is something I have always wanted. I currently work at the hotel as I’ve recently moved to Scotland from wales just over two months ago for my boyfriends job, at home in wales I look after my younger nieces, take them out, care for them and supply their basic needs. I am very maternal and find nothing but happiness when around children. I am fun and love doing activities with my nieces, teaching them new things and setting a good example to them. I am very hardworking within my full time job and extremely reliable, I always work to the best of my ability and can adapt myself to work in different situations. I am calm, enthusiastic and very outgoing. I was accepted to start a childcare apprenticeship in Wales and received my DBS check however relocated to Scotland before starting and am now wanting to pursue my career here in childcare. I am very friendly, chatty and outgoing. I am caring and nurturing, I would love to start my career here working with children and supporting people wherever they need support.

| I have two grown up kids whom have left the nest. I’m the eldest sibling of a fostering family with experience with all ages, disabilities and behaviours. I completed my hnc in childhood practice last year and I’m now attending the university of the west of Scotland studying childhood studies. I’m looking to gather babysitting clients.

| Due to me now having a child of my own i am looking to find a job where i can work alongside being a full time mum to my daughter. My childcare experiences go back over 15 years as my mum was a single parent who done fostering.. i was brought up with sharing my family home with foster children and due to my mum being a single parent i helped out a lot.. i was also a babysitter for other foster carers of south ayrshire i would go round to the carers houses on occasional evenings and babysit to allow the foster parents to have a evening out together.

| As an older member in my family, I have always looked after and babysat my own nieces and nephews. I enjoy spending time with them and helping them with any homework etc. I enjoy being busy and I feel this job suits me as with children, you never get a minutes peace and I’d like to help others out with having their own time without children at their feet.

| I have two younger siblings who I have had to care for pretty much my whole life. Cooking is something that I believe I do very well. Homework help will be no issue as I have always gotten A's and B's through school. I am starting university, so I'm looking to make some extra money, and since I love kids, I figured that I would try a babysitting site.

| I have my SVQ level 2 playwork qualification, health & hygiene certificate and my basic first aid certificate which I gain through my first year modern apprenticeship through childwatch nursery were I worked with 6 weeks to 6 years. During this time I done drop off and pick ups to nursery’s and schools, preparing snack and breakfast, reception work and worked in the rooms with the children.

| I have no kids on my own but have been a reliable source of childcare for many family friends as well as helping raise my niece and two nephews. I look forward to welcoming a new neice at the end of the year whom I will luckily help raise as well.
