After School Care Gloucester

| Hello, my name is Lydia and I am 21 years old. I am currently in my 2nd Year of University studying to be a Children’s Nurse. I have previously worked in a Nursery and After-School club, working with children at a range of ages. I am first-aid trained, DBS checked and can care for children with additional and complex needs. I am looking for flexible hours to fit around studying and placement, however have my availability far in advance.

| I have been working in childcare for over 10 years now working in children's day nurseries mainly working with children under 2 years though also have experience with all children up to school age. I have NVQ levels 2 and 3 in childcare learning and development and have current DBS, first aid, child protection, food hygiene certificates and have been on many more training courses, from letters and sounds to potty training. I have been nannying for a family for the past year. Looking after their 3 children. Ages 7, 5 and 20 months. Along with my own little boy. Plus I have also been doing after school care a couple days a week for an 8 year old boy. I have grown up in a big family being the second eldest of 11 children and have recently given birth to my own son back in October 2016.

| Hi, I’m Michaela, I’m 24 and I’m looking for a little work on the side of my current job. I am a qualified primary and early years teacher, but I currently do supply to gain more experience and continue professional development. I often take up nursery work during school holidays, but would like to take up baby sitting too. During term time I am available to babysit Wednesday afternoons and Monday-Friday weeknights (after school) and some weekends if asked. However, during the holidays I am available to babysit during week days.

| I have years experience both Nanny and in Nursery Childcare. My most recent position was as a Nanny to a family with 5 children (3 of whom were under school age - a set of baby twins and a toddler). I looked after the girls in their home on a daily basis and prepared lunches, did some light housework such as making beds, tidying up and ironing when children were napping. I am a massive fan of getting children out and about to experience activities in the area - often going to the park, toddler groups, activities such as baby ballet, monkey music, swimming (dependent on number of children). I have a QCF Level 3 Qualification in Childcare in addition to being a Level 5 qualified dance teacher. I have an enhanced DBS. I have a full clean UK driving license and am paediatric first aid trained. I am available for late afternoon (sort of 4.30pm onwards) and evenings during the week, and most times at the weekends.

| I am 19 and I am currently taking a gap year from university. A bit about me, whilst attending university I was required to attend placement at a primary school. I worked doing pastoral work in doing three or four sessions a week with children of different ages in the school. I would do barrier games with the children, and it helped me to start forming relationships.I was offered a part time job at the school as a SEN teaching assistant which I have gained a lot of experience from.I run after school club in the week, I am able to spend extra time with the children, and play games with them outside, and make them snacks and help form a good relationship with them. I worked in a school setting with children for seven months, I am also the eldest child in my family so have looked after my two younger sisters on many many occasions. In this time I have worked closely with children who find learning challenging, or have complex needs and learning needs to be looked at in a different way for them. I have also worked closely with the class teaching assistant in year 4, and have started to help run intervention groups, and done a handful myself which has helped me with activities for children and making them up myself.

| With a decade of experience in nannying for families, specifically with children starting school (aged four) all the way up to teens, I have always enjoyed working with children and find this, along with supporting parents, very rewarding. School drop off/pickups, support with homework, cooking, light housekeeping, planning activities, teaching independence and empathy are just some of the duties you can expect from me. I also believe creating a routine is very beneficial for children and like to implement before and after school routines. It helps children feel calm, builds independence and supports time management. A bit about myself: I’m originally from Melbourne, Australia and moved to the UK over 12 years ago. I enjoy keeping active, going for day hikes, tap dancing, visiting the cinema/theatre. I am also creative, having studied making costumes at university, and love visiting galleries when I have the chance. I currently live in London but am moving to Cheltenham end of May. This means leaving my current job of nannying for the same family for over 6 years. Sad to leave them but looking forward to the next chapter!

| I worked in a nursery for two years, I traveled between the baby room, toddler room and ore-school room, I also used to pick up the after school children and do activities with them until collection time. In the nursery I would plan fun learning activities for the children and ensure that they were engaging. I had 6 key children so I had to ensure they were meeting their next steps and if they weren’t I would plan activities to help them along. I recently just finished covering for another nanny who was off sick. I was there for just over a month. I did the school runs in the morning and afternoon for the eldest boy and during the day I planned fun activities and days out for the youngest.

| I am an enthusiastic, caring and fair young woman who has been nannying and babysitting for a number of families for 4 years. I enjoy spending time with the children through games, playing outdoors and baking etc. I am originally from Gloucestershire and live in a rural village therefore I have spent a lot of time with animals and in the countryside however I now live in Cardiff for university. | I am a mum to 3 children, well youngest is now 18, 2 girls and a boy. I am very calm and understanding. I enjoy cooking and baking, riding my pony and walking my dogs. I was looking after 2 young boys for 18 months, 2 and 4, which I thoroughly enjoyed, but was no longer needed as Mum decided not to work anymore as she was commuting to London. I did school runs, cooked for them daily, organised weekly menus, washing and ironing, walked the dog and light housekeeping, including occasional overnight stays. I have more recently been looking after 4 year old twins in a similar role I helped a young family with their 2 year old little boy. Sadly, this came to an end because of COVID-19. I am currently working in a day nursery covering 3 hours daily over lunchtime, so I can be available from 3pm for after school care and also babysitting. I have also worked on the bank staff for the NHS nursery, as and when. Two of the children that I have looked after were on Myplan so I do also have experience of this. The eldest child had autism, which required me to adapt to her needs I got made redundant from my Nannying position in October 2017, so have working in local supermarket since then whilst looking for the right job.
