I need someone for general cleaning / housekeeping. You should have some experience. I’m looking for someone who is passionate about cleaning and carrying out the role to a high standard. Your responsibilities will include services such as Window cleaning, Oven cleaning and general household cleaning duties. Although I have stated 3 hours a week I appreciate depending on the extent of cleaning times will vary and would like the option of having a deep clean carried out quarterly. The role includes all general housekeeping duties and the opportunity for some childcare duties. We are seeking someone who is reliable, organised and takes initiative. They must also have excellent attention to detail. To be considered for this role, you must live locally (max. 10 miles) and have experience working within a private household. It is also essential that you possess a valid passport, are eligible to work in the UK, have a DBS check and have good references. Responsibilities: Childcare (optional): Monday mornings: responsibility of children (play activities and cooking) Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursday mornings: • Help care for our two youngest children during morning school drop-off and for longer periods on request Laundry: Holiday cottage linen: • Washing, ironing, and folding Household washing • Daily washing, ironing, and folding of linen • Weekly bed changing • Weekly towel changing Cooking: • Preparation of lunch e.g., soups, pies, salads Cleaning: Daily: • Vacuuming and sanitizing of kitchen and two downstairs cloakrooms • Tidying of kitchen, sitting room and playroom • Taking out the rubbish • Filling/ emptying dishwasher • Laying table for lunch (as/ when required) • Watering house plants Weekly: • Mopping and vacuuming of all household area floors • Thorough cleaning/ sanitizing of kitchen including cleaning of oven top, fridge, cupboard interiors and exteriors • Thorough cleaning/ sanitizing of bathrooms • Dusting and cleaning shelves, furniture tops, ceilings, windowsills, and other surfaces • Organizing and maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies Monthly/ Seasonal: • Polishing silverware, dishes, and other items that need to be cleaned but cannot be washed in a dishwasher • Deep clean of floors and carpets • Occasional deep cleaning of windows and furniture, kitchen, laundry and bathrooms
