We are living in Thriplow (Royston) and need help with elderly care. We have an 82 year old man with a previous stroke (10 years prior) plus dementia who needs quite significant help. He has recently gone down significantly, and his wife (my grandmother) is struggling to keep up with his needs. Some things he needs support with: Incontinence care, only morning, manages himself during the day Daily hygiene needs Potential providing of medications from packet , not necessary Potentially basic meals, not necessary General looking after He is very resistant to help, so we need someone who can handle being gentle, but very firm. He is not aggressive, and quite overweight, so he doesn't move quickly, but he will complain quite a lot. He is non driving now. My grandmother feels completely overwhelmed, but as he doesn't seem to have much of a pattern she struggles knowing what will help, so someone experienced who can make suggestions etc would be great.
