We are looking for an experienced live-in carer to help look after our lovely elderly mother who has dementia, and physical health conditions which make her dependent upon full hoist for transfers. We live in Southgate, London. You should have experience and/or training in; supporting people with dementia, personal care, manual handling & full hoist experience, managing complex medications.
You should also be kind and loving.
Duties include food preparation and feeding mum, prompting fluids, personal care including pad changes, washing & dressing; manual handling, preparing & administering medications, taking observations, keeping accurate written records. You will undertake light domestic duties. You must have (or be willing to obtain) a current DBS certificate.
Mum understands both English & Turkish, however increasingly speaks in Turkish. So whilst not essential, if you can speak Turkish as well as English, that would be helpful. Ideally you will have your own vehicle, to avoid the Covid risks associated with public transport.
