I am a third year university student aiming to acquire additional income through following my passion for child care. As a teenager I was a regular babysitter within the community of my hometown and I always enjoyed my time with the kids. When I graduated from high school in 2014, I became one of the primary caregivers of a 5 year old child who was in foster care. He is a wonderful and playful little boy and I am happy to have been able to assist with his transition into his permanent home. Hello! I am Tanya and I study at the University of British Columbia Okanagan. I have a lot of experience working with children. I have a brother who is 4 years younger than me and I have been babysitting him for as long as I can remember. However, I have been officially babysitting children other than my brother since I was around 12 years old. I am 18 as of now, turning 19 in less than two months and I believe that my age now can be a benefit as the kids may feel more comfortable around me since I am closer to their age when compared to many other babysitters. I have two years experience in teaching at a English language school for Japanese kids ranging between 5 to 16 years old. This experience has made my communication skills with children even stronger.
