I have babysat my younger cousins, family friend's children, my neighbor's children, I've even taken care of family pets while their owners were on vacation! In addition to strictly child care, I have done light housekeeping, yard work, and even dropping off kids to school/appointments.
I'd love to help in any way needed! For example, assisting in meal prepping, housework, cooking for the family, laundry, dishes, and even dropping off/picking up to school/appointments/anywhere.

As a teenager I was a regular babysitter within the community of my hometown and I always enjoyed my time with the kids. When I graduated from high school in 2014, I became one of the primary caregivers of a 5 year old child who was in foster care. He is a wonderful and playful little boy and I am happy to have been able to assist with his transition into his permanent home. About Me:
Hello my name is Myah and I am looking for an ideally full time position starting as soon as possible and going until September or potentially longer. I am open to part time positions as well.
A little about me... I am originally from Revelstoke BC and moved to Victoria after graduating to complete my bachelor of education degree through UVIC. I moved to Kelowna in December to complete my final practicum, which I am currently finishing up and will be a licences BC teacher in a few short weeks. With this being said, I have plenty of experience with children of all ages including the following:
- I worked as an early childcare education assistant for 4 summers while I completed my degree. 1 summer was spent with children aged 3-5, 1 summer with infant/toddlers and the last 2 I was a day camp coordinator/leader for school aged children.
- I was a nanny for a family with a 3.5 year old and 7 year old for about 6 months.
- I am currently completing my 3 month practicum in a grade 1 classroom
I have a love for children of all ages and am able to plan engaging, age appropriate activities both indoor and outdoor. I am also able to support children academically if needed.

Balance is important so depending on age I'd schedule a nap or some down time whether that be reading, playing with dolls or lego, doing school work, or teaching the alphabet, I like to keep children engaged with the real world instead of the t.v./tablet/phone, etc.
I am an experienced childcare provider as I am a single mom raising my own children, ages 14 and 13. What better experience than to have gone (still going) through everything first hand. I also worked for a family for about three years taking care of their 6 month old until he was one and a half at which time the couple had another baby and then I cared for both children. Sadly this family moved away so I am looking to join a new family. I am also college and university educated in Social Work.
