Thank you for your interest! We are fully enrolled for the 2025-2026 year, but keep a waiting list. We do not offer part time. A child might attend on a flexible schedule within the week, but each child pays for their full time rate/slot.
SereneCare is a full-time preschool and child care program for 6 months-turning 4 yrs which provides loving care and excellent academic success within a project based curriculum emphasizing arts integration. We are a small program with a limit of six children enrolled. It's a lovely and lively blend of a nanny and preschool environment.

Each group generally moves through the SereneCare experience together for about 3 years - from first baby/toddler friendships through a celebration graduation to JrK. A nearly nonexistent turnover and excellent attendance due to superb health of our children is supported with a clean environment, good hygiene and wholesome organic menus prepared each day.

Where do I even begin. Gaylis has been looking after my daughter since she was 6 months old and every day we are so thankful we were lucky enough to find her and that she had a spot for us. It is a difficult transition to hand over your child at such a young age but so quickly she felt like family. She knows my daughter so well and will add personalized touches to the curriculum that she knows my daughter will enjoy. My daughter is about to turn two and knows the colors, she counts, sings the alphabet and various songs, speaks in 4-5 word sentences, picks up all her toys and is respectful of other children. All these things she learned at SereneCare. There is a curriculum but it is structured in the form of fun activities. They cook together, they go on walks and to the park, they identify and feed the birds in the yard, they plant flowers and look after them. Every week there is a special theme. I can tell Gaylis loves her job, she puts so much effort and to have found someone that cares this much about my daughter and enjoys spending time with her is such a gift. When my daughter moves on to her next school we hope Gaylis will keep putting up with us because we never want to say goodbye.

There are not enough words to express how grateful we are for Gaylis! Our 2 year old is currently in her daycare and we couldn't be happier. Gaylis is thoughtful, organized, communicative, provides enriching experiences for the kids, feeds them incredible meals, and is an overall amazing person. Our daughter is happy when we drop her off and happy when we pick her up. If you are lucky enough to get a slot at Serene Care, jump at it, you won't regret it.

If you want the best child care for your child then you found the right place! Gaylis is absolutely amazing! My daughter learned so much from colors to sign language to every day tasks! Gaylis kept me updated all through out the day with pictures and nap times. Did I mention she makes all her own meals for the kids?! Can't get better than that. My picky eater is no longer a picky eater with the variety of foods she prepares! She's the best around!

I've known Gaylis since I was 13 years old. My mom and I both worked with Gaylis when she had a larger daycare do she's basically family( 23 years of knowing her :) I moved back to Morgan hill in 2017 and was pregnant with my second, I reached out to Gaylis ((because she is the only person I trust 100%)) to get a head start on the waiting list . Once my little one was 1, he attended until covid( March 2020) I miss Gaylis so much right now- She's the best!

Gaylis cared for both of our children over a span of over five years. We consider Gaylis family and could not be more grateful to her for the love and dedication she showered on our children for many years. Her home is safe, warm and engageing. There will never be enough gratitude for what Gaylis did for my two children.

We have had our daughter enrolled with SereneCare for 3 years and it has been a great experience seeing her learn and thrive. I would recommend Serene Care with highest regard. The thoughtfulness, care and learning that is provided every day to the small group of kids is amazing and goes above and beyond other care facilities.

Our daughter has been incredibly well cared for at SereneCare for 3 wonderful years. The small size, consistent environment, and thoughtful approach to engaging children of several ages has given her a wonderful cohort of friends. Every care provider at SereneCare models the highest levels of care, dignity, and respect towards the children. In response, the small group learns to listen to, watch out for, and show respect to each other. Our daughter has thrived under the flexible structure provided. She is always engaged and learning - STEM and tons of music, art, and exercise. Plenty of imagination and pretend play occur spontaneously every day.
The meals provided are nutritious, creative, and well-planned. I love that she tries healthy and new foods there with her friends that she might not be as open to trying at home.
The attention given to health and wellness is top notch. The environment is very clean and cared for. Meals provided and great naps/rest promote health. Attention is given to the children's personal hygiene. Any minor scratch, diaper rash, or tumble (without even a bump) is fully addressed and communicated with the parent. When my daughter got her first bee sting I can honestly say it received much better treatment there than it would have at home and I'm a nurse. SereneCare is an excellent observer and communicator and is constantly looking out for the children's safety and wellbeing.
What else can I say? I honestly cannot recommend it enough. In our experience, SereneCare has gone above and beyond our expectations. Most importantly to me, they truly respect and care for the children, they are dedicated, and I believe they sincerely enjoy the time spent with our children each day. They are incredibly gifted (and educated) in what they do. And it has been a gift to us.

We have two children enrolled at SereneCare and could not be happier. The kids are so engaged and active all day and are always eager to come home and tell us all about the day and all their friends. We love the small group and personalized attention.

Gaylis is an amazing lady. She has raised her own 3 talent and success children for her own, but she's not stopping there. Gaylis is going far beyond to help your kids happy and amazing learning in a nutshell!
You can drop your kids off and just start your work routine without being worried. They're learning so much! to be independent and good manner.
She always recruits the perfect helpers and finding perfect match of kids ages as well as gender to play and develop well together.
I can talk nonstop about Gaylis, but I will let you find out and doing exploration of yourself.

This is our second year at Serenecare and we couldn't be happier. Our daughter can't wait to start the day here and asks about Gaylis and her friends during the weekends. We know she has tons of fun and that she is being loved at her childcare. We feel that we are giving her the best start in life and that all the memories will be treasured in her heart forever. Gaylis is a formidable educator and enriches our lives taking care of our little one. We can't thank her enough!

Hands down the best daycare in Morgan Hill. All our 4 kids went to serene day care and they got the best care we could ever imagine. Not only Gaylis took great care of our kids, she was always there to answer any parenting questions. She taught us how to discipline and raise good mannered kids. Our kids used to run to her place happily daily. They all miss serene daycare deeply! If you have any doubts on where to send your kid, don't think twice, this is IT!

I have my two girls both grew up at Gaylis's place since them 12 months old until 4 years old. They might spent even more time with Gaylis than with me in these years :-) Serene Care is like their second home and Gaylis is the people they trust most besides parents. This is because they know, every teacher there, especially Gaylis loves them, believe in them, take very good care of them. Gaylis has such incredible ability and enthusiasm can make every week differently exciting for the entire year. Kids NEVER feel bored there and learned so much, reading, music, dancing, cleaning, manner, dressing, helping each other.... Not only kids, myself had learned a lot from Gaylis in term of parenting with her wisdom of 25+ year preschool experience.
Another good thing there is, they have a small group of children with close ages. This is wonderful. They grow up together in the first few years of their life, and they become best friends with each other, not only classmates. That means a lot to my girls. I feel very lucky I found Serenecare for my girls and sincerely appreciate Gaylis's dedication and love she gives to children.

Our daughter was at Serenecare for 3 years and has developed exceptionally well under their care. The team at Serenecare is exceptionally experienced, and clearly loves their work. This shows in the wonderful activities that they plan for the children.

We have had 4 children go through Gaylis' fantastic daycare service. We started in 2006 with our oldest who is now 11 and just graduated our youngest who is 3. The kids are rarely sick and are taught impeccable manners. They learn to be kind, to share with their friends, to try new foods, and to clean up. All my kids were potty trained by the time they were 2 years old. The field trips and professional quality photographs are a huge bonus at no extra cost. Gaylis is a very capable and creative teacher who is passionate about what she does. She recognizes and works with the strengths and talents of every child. Our children couldn't have a better person to influence them in their early developmental years. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

THERE IS NO BETTER DAY CARE!!! My son is now 17 years old and I still see the foundation that Gayliss provided as a baby/child. I never worried about how was he being treated. He was truly loved and still is. The adventures she took them on, the teaching and morals and respect that was taught. The varieties of foods they learned to eat and love or dislike, but try again, was awesome. My son was taught to help out, be kind and to accept people for who they are no matter nationality, gender, age, etc. The pictures you see are just a glimpse of what happens at SereneCare.

Serene Care (Gaylis) is like a second home, with a super patient Mom raiising your kids like you would, maybe even better! She is always pleasant, and has a magical way of teaching kids to get in line and be polite. Gaylias is amazing!

I cannot speak highly enough of the care that my son has received at SereneCare. Our previous experience with daycare had been with large corporate facilities, with high teacher turnover, frequent illnesses, and often impersonal care. On the recommendation of a coworker, I contacted Gaylis and immediately felt at ease. My son has flourished at SereneCare-he has gained sweet friendships, good manners, early academic skills, and fun adventures. The age range of the kids has been ideal-the kids can learn and help teach each other; case in point-my son was potty trained in about 1 day. Having my child cared for by people who are not only professional, but nurturing, loving, and creative allows me to feel more at ease at work and confident in being a working mother.
