Our family attended this home-based daycare in for over a year and a half. On October 17th, 2025 the provider walked my daughter out and mentioned to me that my daughter had said another child touched her inappropriately under the table. I asked my daughter about it in front of the provider, and during that exchange, I heard the provider say that what my daughter said was not true.No follow-up plan was discussed.

Throughout our time there, we requested meetings to collaborate and get on the same page, but those conversations were often dismissed or never followed up on.

To my knowledge, no report related to the incident was filed until after I contacted the appropriate agencies myself, and we later learned the other child's parent did not receive immediate notification. Less than 14 hours after this occurred, we were told our family could no longer attend the program.

I'm sharing our experience so other parents can make informed decisions and feel empowered to ask questions and advocate for their children.

Bernice and Alexi are simply spectacular with my kids. She teaches them a curriculum during the year and my kids come home every day with a craft or a worksheet. My son just turned three and can already spell his name out loud and can write the letter R (the first letter in his name), which I owe all to Bernice. Not only is she a fantastic teacher, her and Alexi and caring and loving towards my children. She is family to my kids. I trust her with anything and everything that has to do with my kids. Finally, she is one of the highest rated preschools you will find and at a great price! It just doesn't get any better than Nurtured Journey Preschool. I'm glad I found someone so trustworthy to do the most precious job in my world: take care of my kids.
