Plan and effectively implement a curriculum based on scientifically based research and theories of best practice

Create developmentally appropriate learning goals and lesson plans

Provide activities and opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration and problem-solving appropriate to the development levels of the children

Plan experiences in music, art, literature, science, math,small and large motor skills, and social studies inside and outside

Change toys and materials as needed to stimulate and reflect the child's interest

Play and interact with the children in a respectful and nurturing manner.

Attend to the personal hygiene of each child; changing diapers, soiled clothing and washing hands.

Instruct children in health and personal habits; such as eating, resting, and toilet habits

Promote the development of children's independence, self-help and self-calming

Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of other's and positive self-concepts

Help children learn about their world and develop their own interests

Identify signs of emotional or developmental issues in children and bring my concerns to the parent's attention

Administer first aide as needed, record information in a medical log and communicate with parents about the incident

Create an environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the physical, social, and emotional development of children

Promote the celebration of diversity, inclusive environment, family dynamics and respect and honor holidays and religions

Routinely clean and sanitize toys, materials, surfaces, and other areas of the children's care space daily and weekly as needed

Maintain open, friendly, and cooperative relationships with each family and encourage their involvement in the program

Communicate with children's parents/guardians about daily activities, behaviors and related issues

Promotes good behaviors by using positive reinforcement

Transported and supervised children on field trips to the zoo, children's museum, OMSI, Imagination station and other local parks

Keep children safe and healthy; supervised them at all times
