Ms. Rabbitt has daily activities include rug time, math, singing, reading, and social interaction through play with a goal of kindergarten readiness. Her multi-level space includes a kitchen for getting those little hands rolling in flour and dough, a dining room for sharing meals with friends, and a completely finished 400+ sq ft basement loaded with toys, and indoor gym equipment. She also has a huge fenced in back with a commercial sized playset, and plenty of yard toys. My grandson loves it there!!!

I had a very negative experience with Ms. Rabbit!

I was pregnant with my second child and was going to transition my oldest (2 1/2 at the time) into daycare with Ms. Rabbit when I went back to work from maternity leave. I planned early, put a deposit down on my spot with Ms. Rabbit about 4 months in advance and was preparing for the transition. A week before, I took my son, who had only ever been watched by my mother, to visit Ms. Rabbit to help him remember where he would be going. At that short visit, the Ms. Rabbit I had known when I put down my deposit, was different. While she previously stated she would help with potty training (we were about 95% there!), she then stated that he had to be dry IN A DIAPER for two weeks before she would help transition him out. ("per her contract" is what she kept saying)... while I did not believe my son would do this... he would stay dry in underwear but would ALWAYS go in a diaper... because it felt like a diaper... HOWEVER, I still agreed to send him in pull-ups because that was her rules and her house (which I respected). I actually told her, verbatim, "I will differ to your expertise because this is your field and know better than I do".

So the next week, our very first day separating from our son, I went to drop off my son and mentioned that I brought him in pull-ups, however I don't know how well potty training is going to go... and she tried to 'fire me' from her daycare. She literally said, "I don't think this is going to work out between us". I scrambled to keep things positive, as I was leaving my child with her... I asked, "are you firing me".... (I was literally shocked)... and she said, "I have told other parents that it wouldn't work out before"... however she conceided because I had no other place to leave him and it was my first day back from maternity leave (also a stressful time for a mother). So, for the next three days, every time I picked up my son, Ms. Rabbit (as I can only describe it) 'mom shamed me' about my son. She told me he cried all throughout nap and kept other kids up so they couldn't get their naps and told me their parents were upset with me (well, my son)... um, this was the first week he was ever away from me so that should be expected for some kids. My son hated going to her house (which is fine because again, I understand transitions are hard) but he had the worst four days. By Friday morning, I called and said we had found another daycare and Ms. Rabbit chipperly said, ok! I feel like she couldn't get rid of my family any quicker... and was happy to keep my deposit even though we were still in her 'trial period'... per her contract. I know we ultimately pulled out, not her, so technically she didn't owe us that back, but I honestly feel like she was pushing us to leave. (... and my mom believes that she just tries to get people in so she can take their deposit and get rid of them).

Now, I don't doubt the kids she cares for are safe and in good hands; her daycare was fine... and for the kids she chooses to love on, I'm sure they have wonderful experiences... I see other rave reviews on this website... but if you express concerns about anything she doesn't want to do (i.e.: working with my son on potty training how he needed), she will make you feel horrible and push you out. Anyway, for what it's worth (and I'm sure Ms. Rabbit will respond with all kinds of reasons for why she acted the way she did 'health code'/'my handbook'/'my contract') she was not the comforting, loving atmosphere I was expecting when I first met with her.

And side note, I found a cheaper, MUCH more loving daycare where we are now... and my son was 100% potty trained there within a week... no accidents after a week... and he takes naps without crying... and loves going there. So it worked out for the best... but just know that if you go with Ms. Rabbit, you could have a great experience, or you could be left in a scramble for daycare last minute.

My son had never been under any one else's care other than mine and my husband's since he was born. At the age of 2 we needed to find trustworthy and reliable care for him outside of our hone. Mrs. Rabbitt's Daycare is the perfect fit for our family. Monica is wonderful, our son was able to make a very smooth transition and we've noticed so much growth in him since starting. She does art projects, time outside, as well as beginning academics to help the kids get introduced to school. There will be times at home I'm like wow where did he learn to do that? I'll ask Monica if she was teaching them something certain and sure enough what she has taught I see at home. I would never want to send my child anywhere else. I feel safe and secure when my son is in her care. I have recommended it to several friends and will continue to do so.

Both of my children have been cared for here since 2014 - My son who is now in 1st grade as well as my 10 month old daughter. The care & love they have received have been as if they were her own children. She has thrown birthday parties for them, Christmas as well as other holidays. Not a father or mothers day has went by without a gift from our children. I receive updates if one of the kids even LOOKED like they may be coming down with a cold so I was in the loop. My children have always went to school saying "its time for Ms Monica cudddddles!" and giggling. My oldest was extremely challenging due to ADHD and she was always patient, caring and worked with me to find the best solutions to work with him as he got older and graduated out of her care and into school . Prior to meeting her my son was in a large daycare facility which was fine but she instantly made it feel like home with her. I truly cannot say enough good things.

I can't even give this daycare any stars. The woman who runs this daycare treated our family terribly and told us that she could no longer watch our daughter with no advance notice. It was a very awful experience.

I appreciate your right to write a review I would like to clarify that my care for your daughter was temporary due to your provider being unable to care for her and the care was coming to an end the following week. Why I ended care before that week is because of your being late for pick up and when asked if someone else could pick up the child as I was closed your response was "if you do not want people to be late than why have a late fee in your contract." At that time I realized your family was no longer a good fit.
