My name is Pam and I would love to meet your part-time (recurring) or occasional back-up child-care needs in my Plainfield home on any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday! Most in-home child-care providers will accept only full-time, M-F children, but I am unique, and I specialize in PART-time care.
At only $5 - $10 per hour (per child), you will find my rates extremely competitive. For multiple children and meal arrangements, my overall pricing is negotiable.
As a long-time married Mom of two girls (16 & 21), and with 15 years of child care experience, I have created a clean, bright, happy, baby-proof / child-friendly environment for the kids to learn and grow in. I am fondly called "Miss Pam" and have lots of TLC and one-on-one time to offer your little ones!
I have a high sense of integrity and am very easy-going and reliable with a clear background check. Most of my 'children' are long-term and have stayed with me for several years. It's fun watching them grow and learn and develop! I've cared for infants, twins, toddlers, and older children over the years. My 'parents' (references) would be pleased to vouch for my integrity and give you their thoughts on my style and the quality of care I've provided for their children. My home is a *non-crowded*, safe, spacious environment for the kids to play in with lots of activities to keep them busy. On nice days, we enjoy the back yard and large play-area outside. Other times, we read books, play with play-doh, do puzzles, color, listen to music, or work on our ABC and learning crafts etc. I have quiet rooms for napping and am happy to maintain any schedule that you prefer.
Having worked full-time for many years, I understand the struggle and constant balancing act that a working parent faces. Nothing is more important than finding the right person to provide quality care for your children. I am happy to be that 'right person' who will treat them with kindness and love, and provide good structure and an enjoyable, stimulating environment where they can interact, play and grow.

My kids love going Ms. Pam's! She is a great communicator and works very well with all of her daycare kids. My list of people I trust to watch my kids is small but Ms. Pam is definitely on that list. Her home is a clean safe environment for our kids to play in. We feel so lucky to have found her!

Our two sons (4yoa & 18 months) have been going to Pam since they were 1 and 4 months old. Pam has been welcoming since our very 1st meeting and has been very accommodating to my ever changing work schedule. She makes sure the kids are are always keeping busy with puzzles, numbers, play doh and fun activities. Our 18 month old is totally comfortable when we leave him. The other families that Pam watches all have wonderful kids and everyone gets along and plays nice at Pams house.

We are so lucky to have Miss Pam watching our two boys. Miss Pam spends time with the kids reading books, doing puzzles, arts & crafts, etc. She is always sending updates and pictures. We can drop our boys off and know they are being taken care of, having fun, and learning! She is loving and caring and I am so glad we found her!

We were connected with Pam through another child care place that didn't have room for a baby, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! It's a bit scary for parents who are new to an area and have a baby and need to find someone to care for their 3 month old. It can be very hard to know who to trust. When we met Pam, we had a great feeling already and she has an open door policy while your child is in her care, so you are free to pop in whenever you want unannounced. I never felt like I needed to, but one of her references I called said she did and she felt she had nothing to worry about. My baby girl started staying with miss Pam at 12 weeks old and she would've stayed indefinitely except my husband's job didn't work out so we moved back to our home state. But we were all very sad!!! We loved miss Pam!

We were looking for someone to take our son part time since I went back to work and our original babysitting fell through. She started watching our son around 8 months and he is now 14 months. She has always been amazing with him and really treats him like part of the family instead of just a child she watches. She updates me all the time on how he is doing and makes this very anxious Mom relaxed every time he goes over there. There have been times he hasn't wanted to leave when we come to pick him up! I am so glad we found Miss Pam!

My son started with Miss Pam at age one. Before meeting Miss Pam my son was watched by someone who came to our home. When he became a toddler I realized it was important for him to interact and play with other kids. Miss Pam's home is the best of both worlds. He still gets the comfort of being in a home setting without it being an over crowded daycare institution. He gets his own quiet, private space for much needed nap time! And he also has made new friends. Miss Pam is seriously wonderful when it comes to arts and crafts, learning ABCs, numbers, shapes, animals, etc. She is also a kind person with a giant heart. She loves the little ones she cares for and it shows.

Miss Pam began watching my daughter at 5 months old and she is now 5 years! Miss Pam is like extended family and there aren't words enough to express how wonderful she is. She embodies what you would refer to as a "kid person". Children can't help but like and feel comfortable with her. She provides a wonderfully welcoming "cozy home" atmosphere where you always feel welcome. She is FANTASTIC with accommodations and extremely qualified as she is also a very loving mom to 2 amazing daughters. She truly cares about the kids she watches and it shows!

My 2 and 5 year old LOVE Miss Pam. My kids always come home happy and exhausted from all the playing they have done.
I love that Pam is very engaging and hands on with the children she takes in. They are always playing games, creating art and reading books. My 2 year old had a speech delay and she had no problem working with her using simple sign language and sounds that we were working on in therapy.
I have only ever left my kids with family so dropping them off that first day was hard. But Pam cares for my kids as if they were her own. I have no doubt in my mind that my kids are safe, nurtured and having fun while I work. I love that when I get a chance to check my phone on a break there is a picture of my kids.

My (almost) 2 year old little girl has been going to Pam's for four months, and I cannot say enough good things about our experience. Pam was recommended to me by a another mother whose 5 year old daughter loved getting to go to Miss Pam's.
Pam truly loves and cares for every child she watches. She has a very positive, energetic, and out-going personality. She has been very patient in helping my daughter work through her separation anxiety. Throughout the day she texts pictures and updates. The kids are engaged in activities and spend ample time outdoors. I greatly appreciate the fact that television is never a part of my daughter's day while she is with Miss Pam.

She's been watching our twins since they were about a month old, and she sends us text pictures throughout the day.
In addition, she keeps very detailed notes about everything they do while they're there, how much they eat, when they eat, when they nap, etc.
Plainfield Pam is energetic, thoughtful, keeps kids busy with creative and educational activities, follows your directions to the T, and even came to our babies' baptism.
