Hello, I am Lucia Pepitone, owner/provider of Lucia's Daycare. I am a Montessori trained teacher and together with my staff we have been providing excellent care for infants and toddlers since 2008.
We follow Maria Montessori's teaching philosophy. She believed that young children posses an absorbent mind that benefits from a prepared environment.
By allowing the child the work independently he develops control and concentration to be able to complete a task from beginning to end.
By having a mixed age group children benefit from the older children setting an example for the younger ones around them.
We offer circle time, story time, arts and crafts, age appropriate activities, early math concepts and beginning sound recognition. Children are encouraged to practice grace and courtesy at all times.
We have a large fenced in yard with lots of ride on toys.
Nutritious meals and snacks are included.
We are licensed by N.Y.S. Office of Children and Family Services, we are insured and have a tax ID#.
We are CPR,First Aid certified.
