We are so lucky and grateful that we found Shayla's Academy. We have two children and we were looking for a place where they could be together instead of being separated by age. Miss Shayla gladly took both. I am amazed at how quickly my kids are learning. Not only is it a clean, fun and friendly environment, it is one that is structured with a stimulating curriculum. The days are a perfect balance of learning, playing and resting. She devotes the entire day to the children and has designated areas in which the children play, sleep and work on projects. I love the fact that she has Claudia, a trilingual Guatemalan native, come in every Wednesday to teach the kids Spanish. One day she even had a dentist visit with the kids on the importance of brushing. That day they were sent home with dental goodie bags. She keeps the atmosphere fun and diverse. You will never see the children in front of the tv or doing the same thing day in and day out. Miss Shayla has also been an integral part in helping us potty train our son. I think he is almost there thanks to all her help! In addition to all the daily fun, she also provides healthy snacks and lunches that meet the USDA nutritional standards. We also receive progress reports on the kids so we can address any deficiencies before it becomes an issue later down the road. Words cannot express how grateful we are to Miss Shayla. She truly is a blessing and we have been so happy with her loving environment for our children. She is a talented gifted caretaker and I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of daycare.
